I have been collecting old family photos and stories since 1954. I am now 80 and concerned about what will happen to memorials I now manage after I am gone. Families that I research are: JONES, HUCKABEE, MIEARS, POWELL, GREENWOOD, STRANGE. I am interested in the following cemeteries in southwest Arkansas: Mt. Nebo, Old Sardis-Hatch, Huckabee, Powell, Providence, Patmos, and New Hope cemeteries in Hempstead County; Knighton Chapel, Wilson, and Sewell cemeteries in Lafayette County; Jones-Powell, Beech Creek, and Green cemeteries in Columbia County, Arkansas.|

I too am a 3rd great granddaughter of James P.>John Berryman> William> Horace. Do you have any pictures of the older Huckabee's that you would share? I have a picture of John's wife, Martha, but not of John or James P.
Would love to correspond with you

From I-30, take exit 201 New Boston (Hwy 8/N McCoy Blvd) go north about 1 mile, it is on the right. A pretty little white clapboard church with a historical marker in front. DO NOT stop at the first cemetery you see...it is a predominately black cemetery and in very poor shape. Red Bayou is the second one going north, and is very well-kept.
And you are very welcome for the pics. Enjoy!

Hi, Thomas ...
Mary Charlotte (Lottie)'s parents were:
John McKinley Black (1845-1920): F.A.G.#36885543
Mary Ellen Rider Black (1852-1906): F.A.G.#91013229
They were buried at Old Sardis Cemetery in Patmos, Hempstead Co., AR. Hope this answers your question.

I wrote an email and sent it to your personal email address concerning the photo of Latha Jane Bryant Powell. I wanted to let you know in case the email doesn't make it or goes into your spam folder by mistake.
I am interested in corresponding with you about your collection of photos and your memorials. I am connected through Latha Jane's daughter, Martha Ann Powell Strange Green who married my 3rd great grand uncle.

You're welcome. No, I am not related. I'm just someone who enjoys cemeteries & fulfilling photo requests.

At. St. Joseph's Cemetery in Appleton, WI, we saw a gravestone of Mary Winkel (Mother).
Is she related to Catherine Winkel Pekel?
