Bio and Links
Bio Photo I want to apologize to those who I recently claimed and didn't manage to get. I really thought I would be able to get out there but the weather in TX is crazy right now.

I love genealogy and history. I am a bit new at this but I will try anything I can do to help. I think this is a great website because there are so many cemeteries that date far back and information is being lost every year due to weathering, etc. This is site has helped me find some of my relatives so I would like to do the same for someone else. I came across this site through my own personal search for my and my husband's ancestors.

Mom's side-Bauman, Bilton

Our family joke is that we were destined to be together generations ago because of our historical connections.

Shelly:

Thank you so much for placing the photographs on these memorials. I am researching them for any Civil War service that may have, to put in the U.D.C. database. I appreciate your time to fulfill these photo requests.

Thanks again.

I'm from San Antonio, although I left Texas for good in 1973. Family is still there, though . Anytime, Shelly, that you need a particular photo, I'm happy to try! Diane

Charles E. Witter and Laura J.Witter
Hi Shelly, I need to delete that former note to you.

I had Charles in the wrong cemetery and didn't have much information on him, so I simply deleted the memorial I had for him.

Laura, however, was not buried in Rhode Island. She is buried in Alfred, New York. So, in that case, my memorial is correct (#120878277). Go ahead and delete your memorial (#118581576)and let me know when you've done it and I will transfer my memorial over to you.

Am I making any sense? We need the photo of Laura's stone in Alfred, NY.

Charles and Laura Witter
Shelly,
I just noticed that I made memorials for Charles E. Witter and Laura J. Witter; and you had already made memorials. I am presuming that you are directly related - I am not (maybe indirectly). Would you look over the memorials and see if you can cut and paste from mine to yours - if needed - and then let me know and I will delete my memorials. I've been working on this line for a short-term project and am getting close to done with it.

I'm sorry for not noticing the earlier memorials:

Charles E. Witter: #120879222 and #118581503

Laura J. Allen Witter: #120878277 & #118581576

Josiah Witter
Hi, Maybe you could help me. I am trying to locate a descendant of Josiah Witter (1805-1872), who, I am thinking, could have been a brother to Squire P. Witter of Alleghany Co, NY; father of George Franklin Witter.

Josiah and his wife, Calista Langworthy Witter, moved their family from Brookfield, Madison Co., NY to Dakota-Wisconsin Rapids-Grand Rapids, Wisconsin.

I have a family Bible that belonged to his daughter, Susan Adelaide Witter (Mrs. W. M. Billins). I'd like to give the Bible to a descendant. I don't believe the Billins had any children, so it would need to be a descendant of a sister or brother - or cousin.

Am I anywhere near your family?

RE: Thanks for the Jonah Witter pic
Any time you do want them, just let me know. The weather has been uncooperative the last 2-3 weeks, but winter ends eventually. I was born and raised in San Antonio, so I really love the cold and snow!Everything I always wished for as a child! But, the cold and snow has been so extreme it has stopped me from more grave research. Diane
