I am an addict! I have a genealogy monkey on my back! And, I love it.|
I am enjoying my third (and, hopefully, last) retirement attempt. My career began in public accounting and progressed into corporate finance, and related challenges. My last retirement was from the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, where I was an Expert Witness for the State on financial matters.
I have four grown children, and 7 grand-children.
Should anyone desire that I transfer any memorial to them, I shall be pleased to do so.

Hi - I would like to request that you add my great grandmother, Katie Posey, to the rest of her family on Find A Grave. You can find her enumerated with the Posey family in the 1900 US Census with the rest of the family. Her full name by the time of her death was Katherine Eureta Posey Carothers Donley Bastain. Thank you!

I have a request concerning your entry of a William Berry Smith 43860996. Can you tell me where you obtained this information? It is correct with the exception of one child who is missing. That is..my Grandmother.
Also I have been to Greenwood several times and I was never able to determine his burial site. Do you know of anyone who has the plat information for this cemetery? How can one determine the burial sites?

Hi Hugh...I just wanted to let you know that George W. Posey had another daughter: my great grandmother Katie. She is enumerated in the 1900 census with George's family. Thank you!

Thank you so much for addressing the issue with my uncle's ashes. I have updated his memorial and removed the photo request.

Thank you for your quick reply and transfer of management of the subjects. Appreciate it very much.

Thank you for checking with the cemetery. It's possible Capital Parks handled his cremation and that his widow took the ashes. This was my uncle Capital Parks is listed on his death certificate regarding his burial.

Hi, Knobby! Nice to "meet" you! :)
I recently have busted one of brick walls in my research and this was the only "clue" I started with. My grandfather was the adopted son of Mariah D. & Pink Posey (referenced in 1910 US Census - JP 8, Wood, Texas, Sheet 5A, Dwelling 69, Family 69), Thomas Brumett. I was helped-out by John Brummett and have now made an actual "Brummett Connection" in the 1900 US Census, where Tom, my grandfather, was still living with his biological parents, William P. & Berta Brummett with his brother and sisters, Leona, Janie, and Henry. Bill & Berta evidently passed sometime between 1900 and 1910, and the other three children are found in the 1910 US Census in Waco, McClennan, Texas, USA, in the Methodist Orphange, there; however, my grandfather was adopted by Mariah D. & Pink Posey in Wood County and remained there.
Is Mariah part of your family? I never knew any of my grandfather's family, or their names...and, he always said (when I was a kid and would ask) that his name was "just plain Tom - no middle name - and it ain't Thomas"...but, now I've found proof to the contrary! :)
Would love to know more about Mariah and Pink, if they are related to you. Thank You, so much, for all you do on Find-A-Grave! It has broken so many barriers in my research. I was just TICKLED to find his name on Mariah's page....made me teary, as I, myself, was adopted by my parents.
Please write if I can share any information that might help you, in any way!

Thank you for finding Louis Vasterling's headstone with his wife in Capital Parks Cemetery in Austin, Texas. I was using the information from his Texas death certificate that showed burial in Fiskville cemetery but you were right! Thank you again and thank you for all the work you do for Findagrave.
