In June 2008, I retired as the administrator of the Delta Cemetery in Delta, Colorado. The information I am entering is from the cemetery records and the headstones. Please feel free to contact me with additional information or corrections, as I will continue to update the records for the Delta Cemetery. I am, of course, happy to transfer management of any of the memorials I have created to descendents who meet the Find A Grave guidelines for transfer.
My current project is to take pictures of as many headstones in the Delta Cemetery as I am able to, beginning with the older sections. I have finished photographing and posting to Blocks 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9. If you find a memorial for someone buried in any of those five Blocks but there is no headstone picture attached, it probably means the grave is unmarked. However, I will be glad to double check, if you will contact me.
I have also finished photographing Blocks 8, 10 and 12, and have posted all those pictures. I am currently photographing in Block 11 and am posting those pictures as I go.
Of course, I am happy to respond to requests for pictures of headstones anywhere in the Delta Cemetery.
Names I am researching in my own family tree include Phillips, Bingham, Douglas, Baker, Wire, Shoesmith, Williams, Laux, Schwarm, Hicks and Griffith. I would love to hear from anyone who may be related to me! | |

I have no idea where he was after 1940 he coukd have been living anywhere. so i will keep checking. will let you know if I find anything else out. My grandma is gone too so no one knows in our family either bit because I have located these other family members maybe ome of them has relatives who know. I have to figure you are talking about Onel Ralph Hoch and not his son? Onel Richard Hoch? The only time I ever found Onel Ralph in that county is when him and his wife had been married their 3rd year. No other time. Please leave the county as it is. Lynn: I don't know what the source of Cleo dying in Delta was, but assume that your information of him dying in Denver is correct. Thanks for the heads up on that. My apology for not replying sooner -- my email has been dumping messages in my 'junk mail' box, so didn't find a gob of them until today!

Just wanted to give you my big THANK YOU for all of your help with editing/linking you have done for me regarding our mutual ancestors. I will be out of the Delta Cemetery for awhile, going to the McCallister branch to sort out some coconuts there!

Hi Lynn,
Several years ago I contacted you about Earl and got a death certificate for him as we as had you take a more clear photo of his headstone for me. I was wondering if you could now transfer his memorial to me.
Recently his great grandson and I connected through ancestry. Earl was my great grandmother's brother. Thank you for all you have done.
