My name is David Alan Jones, I was born on February 25, 1956 at Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, CA. I am a student of history, including that of my own family and direct decendants; "Without he or she, there would be no me". Cemeteries are excellent resources for genealogy research and also places of quiet reflection for the living.|
I have written a book, "US Silent Service Dolphins & Combat Insignia, 1924-1945". I enjoy research into the military history of the United States. I just finished writing a book titled "Five War Patrols" about Floyd Caverly aboard the USS Tang.
My son and I are members of the "Son's of the American Revolution" and my daughter is a member of the "Daughter's of the American Revolution". I am also a member of The War of 1812 Society. I serve as a captain on the Klamath River Fire Department. Thanks for looking at my bio.

I enjoyed reading your summaries for both persons!
The only noticeable error is the location of marriage. 'He was married to Anna Lundy (b. 1807, d. 1878) on August 4, 1825 in Union City, Clinton County, Ohio.’
- Union City does not exist!
It should be Union Twp., Clinton Co., OH

I appreciate your contributions to this site so much. You have helped make it so easy for me to research my family. My beloved grandmother was Ruth Gustin. Are you a distant relative?

Hello! I have a small favor to ask. I've been working on making sure that there are memorials, with pictures, for all of the graduates of USNA class of 1940 who were lost at sea during WWII. I just came from the one for LTCDR R.N. Henderson. I would like to post a closeup shot from the 1940 Lucky Bag, but there are all ready too many photographs there. Since all three of the man are identical, I thought maybe someone could delete one of them, so I can post this other. The creator of the memorial is currently not able to spend time working on this site, so I thought I would ask if you would mind deleting the one you put up. I'm extremely happy to see that you put up a picture of the wreck of the Wahoo! It's somehow comforting to see the grave of those men decorated by the beautiful fish.
I'm quite impressed by all of the work you have done on this site! I'm sure that it's a labor of love, for you, as it is for me!

Do you have source information for her birth and death? Thanks. -Matt

You're welcome. I found three other Laurinos in the same area. I believe they were Joe's parents and brother. I added memorials for them, as well.

Do you have a contact at Salem Cemetery? I see you have Lot numbers, do you know where the Lot is within the cemetery?

You are welcome. However, I believe I took a picture of the wrong Phillip Herrig. After I added the photo, I realized the dates did not match. I added a new memorial for the picture I took, but I did not get the one you originally requested. Sorry for the mix-up.
