I have found many great photos of distant relatives and ancestors here, and felt that I can contribute photos that will help others, maybe find distant relatives. |
I am particularly interested in descendants of Alexander Bowe or Bow of Middletown Connecticut, who settled there in 1660.
I live at the eastern edge of Cuyahoga County, Ohio (Cleveland)

|Elida Faye Tirey||Hello Bruce's Cousin|
Asa Bowe is Bruce Hewitt's 3rd Great Grandfather. Again where is your huge database maintained? Rootsweb?
We have information and pictures maintained on FamilySearch and Ancestry. We are working on a family book for his family, but more than willing to work with you.
Great to meet another Bowe cousin!
I have assembled a huge database of Alexander Bowe descendants.
I use familysearch.org a lot. I am not a subscriber to ancestry.com, but I have a Rootsweb account and a abbreviated tree online.
I'd like to connect you and Bruce, if you wouldn't mind sharing how you connect.
I know there is a way to share my tree, I'll try to remember how that works.
Thank you so much for the transfers of Yale Rice, and Mary Bigelow Rice. You have made me feel very good. Much appreciation to you.

In awaiting your reply about the two communications previous, I see that my great grandmother, Lucian's wife, Mary Ann [Gamlin] Rice was also returned to Orwell, Ashtabula County for burial, death date of November 1925.
If you, or anyone, encounters her gravesite, please do let me know, as I am actively seeking both hers and Lucian Rice's, death date of March 1932.
Thank you, kindly. Awaiting your responses.

Would you also post the closeup of the monument that you have on Mary's file on Yale's file? Thanks again.

Yale Rice is my great great grandfather, and I would very much like to tend his memorial, if you would be so kind as to transfer it. My line is through his first wife, who is in Fairview Cemetery, but I would be glad to tend Mary Bigelow Rice's, too.
I am also seeking my great grandfather's grave, Yale's son Lucian J. Rice, who died in 1932 in Highland Park IL, and was taken back to Orwell for interment, according to the obit.
Please let me know if you have or do run across it.
Thanks so much---please let me know.

|CONNIE FYFE||RE: Bethsheba Burr stone|
Thank you, Dr Bowe, for posting the photograph. Hard to believe someone lived 100 years way back then, but there it is, written in stone. Ba(e)thsheba and her first husband, Joseph Foote, are my ancestors. I appreciate your work.

Hello from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I found you on Pintrest as I was doing research on my my mother's side of the family. I saw you had pinned a picture of Romanzo Edwin Bowe. I've had the same photo hanging in my master bedroom for over 25 years. Romanzo and Lydia were my great, great grandparents. My Grandmother Zola Beatty McDonald (Menlo), Iowa grew up in Vinton, Iowa. Her parents were John McAllister Beatty and Myrtle Estelle Bowe.
Excited to connect with family!!
Thank you so much for the picture of Isaac's headstone. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated.
