I am working on my family history and found this site useful as my ancestors are not buried close to my home. So I would like to find their graves and also contribute what I can for others.

I believe your John M. Wells is a descendant of Daniel Frank Wells Memorial # 11178266.

Daniel Frank Wells is a brother to my Joseph H. Wells.

There is another Joseph H. Wells in Daniel Frank Wells family.

I hope this helps.

You have listed the wrong parents and siblings for John M. Wells. John M. Wells s ancestor of mine, but descended from an earlier Wells family n Branford County, Pennsylvania.

Joseph Highland Wells (My great-great grandfather)
Hannah Rita Bates My great-great grandmother.
Their Children:
Harriet Wells Fury
Phoebe Terry Wells Zahn Hoffman
Charles Hollenbach Wells (My great-grandfather
Richard Ely Wells
ALL of them are buried in Miltonvale, Cloud County, Kansas

I thought you might like to correct this. I know mistakes happen, we are all human.

Parents of Wells Hadley
Rebecca, I think we've corresponded before ... but can't remember when. Could you add the Father of Wells Hadley, who is buried in Weed Cemetery in Hartland, VT. Father; George Hadley 82206515, and Lydia Wells . Although his mother is on the same gravestone, she isn't listed.

I'm trying to get some loose ends wrapped up due to health problems.

Could you also respond by email about your relationship to Wells and Betsey (Green) Hadley, and your interest in Hartland Cemeteries.

Thomas Bagley 52889725
Rebeca,

I wonder if you would consider turning this memorial over to me to manage. My grandmother, Alice Bagley was born in Hartland, VT. Her father Cyrus R Bagley is in the Heartland Village Cemetery as are 5 of her brothers and sisters. Her grandfather Perkins Bagley is in Gallup Cemetery down Weed Rd from this cemetery and Thomas is her great-grandfather. He was born in Amesbury, MA and served several enlistments in the Revolutionary War and came to Vermont soon after the war ended. Thomas Jefferson Bagley is a direct male descendent of Orlando Bagley who was in Boston before 1650 and of his son Orlando Bagley the Constable of Amesbury who served the arrest warrant on one of the defendants in the Salem Witch Trials. I do manage nearly all of the other family members in Windsor County.

Regards,

Betsey Green Hadley
Rebeca, could you remove the "e" from Green in her name. She was the daughter of Abraham and Abigail (Perkins) Green, with no e. Her marriage record has her without the "e", at https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FLXG-32R

Thanks.

Emeline Dontley
In Weed Cemetery, Hartland VT. The name should be Emeline Huntley. The stone is warn making the Hu look a lot like Do. I confirmed with both the 1984 survey by the Hartland Historical Society and the VT Vital Records. Could you change it on Find a Grave?
Thanks,
Brad

May I use some of your pics?
Hi Rebeca. We may have communicated before, but my memory is ... what do you call it ... ah.

I'm working on Weed Cemetery in Hartland, VT. While we have pictures of most of the stones there, and I'm hoping to go back there in a few weeks, some of your stones are much better than what I have. May we use them on the Hartland Historical Society site? E.g. http://www.hartlandhistory.org/stone_detail.php?recno=140

Thanks!

Betsey Green Hadley
Rebeca, I took the liberty of copying the picture you took of Betsey's grave to the Hartland Historical Society cemetery database. For some reason, I never uploaded the picture I took after cleaning the gravestone (with special approved cleaner), and now I can't find it. Your picture is excellent. When did you take the picture? It appears the moss etc hasn't regrown since I cleaned it. By the way, there is no "e" in Greene for her maiden name. Just Green. She was daughter of Abraham and Abigail (Perkins) Green.
Thanks.
Brad
