Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Georgia Tann (Black Market Baby seller) adoptee who searched for over 40+ years for my Birth Parents. In August 2011, with the help of Carolyn Whitaker, I found my birth Mother. I have since joined Ancestry and taken a DNA test in hopes of finding my Birth Father, who at some point in 1946-1947 was in Memphis, Tennessee where I was born. Unfortunately, my Mother (Frances Pauline "Cookie" Herring Robinette) died in 1981, and there is no one I've found that has any information. I am still searching. My birth name was Herring (Mother's maiden name). I am interested in Herring as well as Siskie/Siskey; Leahey; Phillips; Rumley;
Leach & others. My tree on Ancestry is Public. I believe Find A Grave provides a wonderful service to all who have ancestors who should be recognized.

Martha Smith Smith - Smithtown, L. I.
Karen: Thank you for the additions you requested. You set me off on quite a hunt ! Did you know that on Martha & these folks connect to President Franklin D. Roosevelt ?

What I couldn't find - and do you know ?
Caleb Smith & his wife Martha Smith Smith had a daughter Martha [per your info]. Any more info on her ?

Caleb & Martha had a son Paul Theodore Smith. I found all of his children except these two sons: Caleb & Samuel T. Any more info on these two ?

So far the people I found were all either at Smithtown Cem. or Commack Cem. - Suffolk County, L. I., NY

Thank you

David

RE: Edward Marshall Slater
Hi,

Great question! Given Sarah's birth as 1835, then an Edward Slater with no marker (at least in the Bethel Cemetery) was her husband; Was this Edward and Sarah the parents of Joseph Lawrence Slater born in 1859 and William Edward born in 1857?
