RE: Martha Caroline Thompson Lockler
Very interesting ! Don't you wish you could just call these people up and ask questions. ?? I'll see if I can figure out anything from this end. One thing I've noted in the Brisbon family (that her daughter married into) was that there was a whole lot of TB going on in those counties (and in that family). I've found 10 of them so far that lived there about that time that died of it. Thanks for the info!

Martha Caroline Thompson Lockler
Can you give me a little more info on how she had a son named Thompson in 1849. I think that she also had a son named George Lewis Lockler/Locklie/Lockley in 1848. could it be that this is the same person. I'm not understanding the Thompson name. Did she marry a man name Thompson, which was also her maiden name? The reason I am asking is that her daughter Mary Elizabeth is my husband's great grandmother and we haven't been able to find her except that she died about 1892, possibly after the birth of her son Fletcher. I'm hoping to find her in a cemetery in that area near other family.

Thank you for the updates - and thank you for the offer. Yes, while distant, he is family and I would take good care of his page. Much appreciated.

I've sent you an email with a link to his father's Memorial #, his mother's full name, a list of all 8 of their children - and a request to link him to his father and add the list of siblings to his bio. Thanks!

Forest Lawn Cemetery in Enka NC.

When my grandfather Richard Campbell passed he was buried in a plot adjoining the one where my mother would later be buried. My mother Arbutus Campbell Holden had her mother moved so that they would all be together.

Ms. Cox, Was your cousin James Williamson a Merchant Seaman?
