As a lifetime history buff, and having lived near some old cemeteries, it is only "natural" that the two are now combined.
I've catalogued all the Confederate fallen in the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va. I will soon publish a roster/book with these findings and short bios/service records of these men. A copy will be presented to the Spotsylvania Courthouse Museum.
Also, I'm in the process of doing the same for the Confederate fallen and veterans in the Fredericksburg Confederate and City cemeteries.

As Historian of the above cemeteries, please feel free to inquire of any Confederate burials.
Also, I give tours of each.

The Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Park Service refers Confederate burial inquiries to me.

Please include source(s) for ALL edits. Too many times incorrect edits have been submitted, so I rarely accept non-email edits. THANKS for understanding--

Warren Patterson

You had a photo request for Warren Patterson in Crystal Cemetery. I fulfilled the request, but in the process of looking him up I learned:
*He was the child of John and Lucretia (White) Patterson
*He was born 1/8/1872 in Lenawee, MI
*He married Rhody F Pinkston
*They had a son named Ray, who married Mary Denman 4/14/1929 in Montcalm County, MI
*Warren died 3/25/1947 in Sheridan, MI

I have sent edits to the creator of this memorial, but it may take a while to show up on his memorial.

RE: William H. Board
Thank you so much for the burial information on my ancestor. I can't tell you what a comfort it is for me to finally know where he rests so I can visit him one day. I have transferred your record information into mine and acknowledged your contribution. Please feel free to let me know if there are any changes. I'll work on combining the two into one narrative.
My deepest appreciation for your wonderful work.

RE: Charles Wattles
I was in Alexandria this week doing research on my Wattles relatives and visited the cemetery. I also did research in the genealogy and research room at the Alexandria Public Library. The birth date of 1887 is listed in the Alexandria city birth records in the reference area. The more exact date of April 5, 1887 comes from our family history so I have not personally seen a birth record with that date, but accepted that date as recorded by the Mormon branch of our family. I hope that you will accept 1887 if not the complete date of April 5, 1887. Thank you for your work with these memorials.

your effective service to the men
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your efforts to commemorate the fallen men from the south. It was comforting to to see the memorial to George Baskin. A brave man who did his duty and extended family member. Southern Regards,
Jeff Thomson

RE: Hugh Thompsom, sr. son found
Big French,
Thank you so much for the information. This does seem to be my relative. Your kind help is very appreciated.
I was just curious, I have been trying to advance my great great grandmother's line but have not found any information or record of her. Apparently, the son Bailey would have been named after her. All I have is that her name was Maria Bayly. If you were to have any clues pertaining to her, I'd be very grateful. However, she seems to be a mysterious ghost.
Take care, and again, thank you.
