As a lifetime history buff, and having lived near some old cemeteries, it is only "natural" that the two are now combined.
I've catalogued all the Confederate fallen in the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va. I will soon publish a roster/book with these findings and short bios/service records of these men. A copy will be presented to the Spotsylvania Courthouse Museum.
Also, I'm in the process of doing the same for the Confederate fallen and veterans in the Fredericksburg Confederate and City cemeteries.
As Historian of the above cemeteries, please feel free to inquire of any Confederate burials.
Also, I give tours of each.
In early May 2014, I'll be giving tours of the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery in conjunction with the 150th Anniversary of Wilderness and Spotsylvania battles commemorations by Spotsylvania County and the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Park Service.

The Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Park Service refers Confederate burial inquiries to me.

Mary Davenport Apperson
Hi Dan...I checked my typed list and also field notes, but I don't have her listed. Although my goal was to transcribe 100% of G'stones, I could have missed her; doesn't make sense for her to be buried anywhere else. Glad to see someone is working on the links; quite impressive! Hope all is well....Linda

Thanks for making the links.

Thanks, too, for your work documenting CSA vets. Great grandfathers on both sides served, one with the Richmond Howitzers and the other as a chaplain in Richmond. They should be remembered.

Ptolemy Powell
Hi BF:
I found the following from the Graves of the Sons of the American Revolution (?):

POWELL Ptolemy b. c1766 or 1767 King William Co d. 1840 Rank:Private VA. Served from 1777-1783 at age 15. Green Level

At least it gives a death date. Or approximate one.
