I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.
I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.
My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley.
I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.
Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.
Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.
A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

I added the picture for you.
I am going to try to get your photo requests for both Headlee Cemeteries. I don't know where the cemeteries are and Perry township lady didn't know either. There are two Shannon Run Roads (Big and Little). I will just have to drive both. I do know that the cemeteries are listed backwards from Greene County Records Cemetery 1 is 2 and vice-versa and that Isaac Headlee Cemetery is considered Headlee Cemetery 3

Thanks for adding the statement from my family records re marriage in new meeting house in Newtown- but please remove my name, leave my volunteer number, but remove name okay?
I recommend putting the statment first, then in parentheses add number only, that puts the historical statement center and volunteer info in background.
"They were the first couple to be married at the new stone meeting house in Newtown."

Thank you, M

I am in the Davis Camp! I'm currently Camp Commander. I've heard tell of a mystery member in Texas! What a joy to (sort of) meet you!

I am very happy that you are the one that put Gary's site up. Like you noted, he was a tremendous findagrave asset. He was always very helpful with things when I first got on findagrave. The tokens, all just reciprocation, Olin. Sure miss my old stompin' grounds.

Will you be taking most of Gary Wills memorials at Rose Hill in Tyler? I was afraid he had passed away as I could not get any response regarding changes or transfers.
I thank you from my heart for the visit and the memory of my father's Angel Day. It means a lot to me.
Also to the memory of the days of remembrance of my grandmother Emilie, G-grandmother Hulda and G-grandfather Albert I thank you very much.
I wish you a wonderful weekend and send you many greetings from Berlin. Hugs, Monika

I have the Hartley record that has his picture in the front! I thought you would like it.
|Bruce Genewich||Hi Olin|
Went to cold Springs today. Kicked butt. Visited Shara.
|Christina York-Rehn||RE: Mary Hartley Fetherngill|
Yes you may use the pictures on your family tree. I also have many other pictures of her children on their memorial pages. My Great Great Grandmother was Clara Fetherngill Howland. Her sisters Anna and Vide never married. Roy Fetherngill was a diplomat to the Phillipines. I have seen Fetherngill spelled all different ways!
