Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in New Orleans; spent most of my childhood in Nigeria, West Africa. Degree from Winthrop College (now University). Married with two adult children. Became interested in Find a Grave through an uncle, who has been instrumental in finding much of the ancestry information for my maternal family. My interests include the following families: Runyan, Harris, Barnett, Gibson, Wilberscheid, Goodnough, Bridges and Lynch.

As a volunteer photographer, I often take photos of grave stones that were not part of a request. Some of those additional grave sites do not have memorials created. So, of course, I create memorials for them. If at any time, family members wish to have these memorials transferred, please let me know. It isn't my goal to have large numbers of memorials to manage; it is my goal to create viable memorials for as many people as possible, including those who are not related to me.

RE: Photo Request for Cora Bryant

Well according to her death certification show she born in Nov 20. 1894 or maybe death certification make mistake or headstone make mistake on dates..

so I assume maybe headstone that someone make mistake put date.. but buried in same place where her husband buried.. so I guess I have to change birth date to whatever that headstone say!

thanks for let me know.. please load up picture.. love to see that!!

RE: Robersonville Cemetery Photo Requests
I appreciate the effort. I'm sorry I don't have better information on where in the cemetery they are buried. In my effort to look just now, I discovered that their son, Walter E Ward, Jr., died in the same county Sept. 30, 2013. I couldn't find his burial information, but I suppose he could be buried near them. Since it occurred so recently, I would think the son's burial information should be easier to obtain -- I'll keep looking.

RE: Photo Request re Curtis Johnson
Yes, Barbara Ann Johnson was their daughter. I'd appreciate this transfer, too.

The two Martin County headstones for which I have a request are:

Walter Elliot Ward (113711304)
Rosa Margaret Potter Ward (113711422)

Robersonville Cemetery

Martin County
North Carolina

I've tried and tried to find an address for this Cemetery via Google, and, though I find it mentioned, I cannot find an address. There is also an "Old (First) Robersonville Cemetery " listed on Find a Grave but I think this is a different cemetery. If I find an address, I'll send it to you.

RE: Photo Request re Curtis Johnson
Yes, that is my Find a Grave number. The only counties on my Photo Request page somewhat near that area are Martin and Guilford. If you're ever in that area, let me know and I will give you the locations. Thanks again, Carolyn. -- Bill

RE: Photo Request re Curtis Johnson
Hi, Carolyn. Thanks so much for getting those photos and for creating Etta's memorial. Without volunteers such as yourself, it would be nearly impossible, due to the distances involve, for many folks to obtain photos like these. Etta was Curtis's wife. Katie was his sister; she never married. With your permission, I may add your photos to my Ancestry tree. Thank you, again. -- Bill

RE: Rogers Family Cemetery
Hi Carolyn, there is a bit of an issue with this cemetery. I was only able to find 3 graves there. I do not believe that Mary L. Rogers Cherry and Joseph M. Rogers are really buried there, although a lady added their memorials to this cemetery. The person who added these memorials also included the death certificates, which clearly say that these people are buried in the Rogers cemetery near Washington, NC, which as we know is not in Martin county. I believe I contacted this lady a while back and suggested moving the memorials but maybe I forgot to do that.

The cemetery is located on Dan Peele Road. It is very easy to find. If you are coming north on Hwy 17, turn left on Dan Peele Road. The cemetery will be on your right, before you get to White Road. The cemetery is right up beside Dan Peel Road and is enclosed in cinder blocks; you can't miss it.

If this is not the cemetery you are talking about, let me know.
