Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thank you for visiting my page and for all you do here at Find A Grave. I enjoy this website and have met new friends and distant cousins as a result. Thank you to everyone who has provided photos, links, and other information.

The vast majority of my memorials are relatives. Some close, some distant, others in between.

Please be sure to use the Edit tab, then the Suggest a Correction . . . link when requesting updates, transfers, links to family members, etc. This feature is designed to eliminate frustration on all parts due to misspellings, having to search through multiple memorials, etc. Unlike some, I will not ignore/delete your public message regarding the above without first contacting you, but please, please, please, use the proper avenue.

Find a Grave guidelines stating: "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." are, in my view, just that. If you're more closely related than I and have information to add to a memorial, I'll more than likely transfer to you. Be sure to state your exact relation when requesting a transfer (if I request a transfer and forget to state my relation, please kindly let me know and I will do so).

It would be most appreciated if you would not post obituaries or death certificates as photos on any of my memorials. I'll gladly add the verbiage from an obituary minus the names of living relatives if you send me a link to it online or send it to me via the Edit tab. Also, please note that Find A Grave guidelines state you should not post biographical information via a Virtual Flower. I think it may partly be because the creator/manager of the memorial is not notified when a Virtual Flower is left, and may not run across this vital information for days, months, or even years.

"The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone." Harriet Beecher Stowe

The only way I will do that is if you let me put it back in. You make the corrections and you should probably copy it and then I will take it back out again.

I know you will probably delete all my messages after this and all that I had asked is (do not know how this is disrespectful, as family members may want to see it also. But I see that you have not added the information and as soon as you do I will delete it.) So I will be the better person, It has been deleted.

RE: Kucera @ Bennet Cem.
You are very welcome. I'll check in the spring, somebody will get it done for you. Had about 6-8" of snow this morning. Janet

Kucera @ Bennet Cem.
Anna, I stopped by the Bennet Cem. on my way to another to see if a headstone had been added yet. She is now listed with a location but there is no headstone yet. There was a cement foundation placed, so they may be getting close. May have to wait til spring. I did not 'claim' your request, so it's still active. Just thought I'd let you know the current status. Janet

William B. Thompson #82356937
The stone which has 3 Feb 1864 as the date of William's death is incorrect. 3 Feb 1864 was the day William was transferred from Old Capitol Prison to Point Lookout Prison in Maryland. William really died on 29 Jul 1864 of dysentery. William was buried at Point Lookout and his body was not returned to Fairfax County.
William and Martha's second son, Corbin had the stone erected supposedly between 1900-1910 which could account for the wrong death date.

Andrew and Frances Teachman
Anna, I was just at the Birdseye Hollow cemetery to take pictures for another family and looked for your requested headstones. I only found the headstones for Mary and Emeline which you already have photos for. I did not find any headstones with Andrew or Frances on them. There were some small field stone markers with no markings and some bigger stones with no markings leaning against trees, but nothing found marking a grave for Andrew or Frances Teachman. Sorry I could not help you.
