Bio Photo As far as I'm concerned anyone who wants to use what I've posted is welcome to it. You do not need to ask. Find a Grave has made it possible for me put many of my family members together and find a lot of correct birth and death dates.

Happy hunting and good luck with your searches.

Sarah Norris Rozell Sawyer
I am looking to verify that Sarah Norris Rozell Sawyer 1816-1866 is the 2nd wife of Drury Sawyer.

Also, I am looking for her parents.

Guy-Storer Texaco Station
Tom, if you are interested, I have video of the Guy-Storer Texaco Station in Indiana in the 1940s. Also need some help ID'ing some people in it.

Joseph Owen
I noticed that you had put up a photo of Owen's wife's grave marker (Joseph Owen's name is on it). Do you know if he has his own marker? Thank you.

Joan A Powell

Hi Tom,

My name is Tom Monjack and I am a Find A Grave Contributor from Palm Springs, CA. I am also a very dear friend (and brother-in-law of sorts) of the late Joan Powell of Port Charlotte, FL.

I saw that you created a Find A Grave memorial page for Joan with limited information included. I would like to "fill in the blanks" and have sent you obituary text. I am also going to send you a photo of Joan to add to the page. I am currently in Port Charlotte, FL and will be visiting Joan's grave (crypt) this afternoon. I will photograph her marked crypt and would like to add that as well. The photo that is on her Memorial is of her temporary crypt while her permanent crypt was being built.

I am adding the obituary text here in this email in case you don't receive the other one I sent.

Joan Powell
Born in Newark, New Jersey on Feb. 15, 1941
Departed on Dec. 25, 2012 and resided in Port Charlotte, FL.

Joan Arlene Powell was the daughter of Frederick and Helen (Willis) Powell, born February 15, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey. Joan retired from New Jersey Bell (Verizon) after 33 years of service, and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1993 from Belleville, New Jersey. Joan was an active and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, serving for many years in the AWANA Sparks program. Though she had no children of her own, she invested her life into her nieces, nephews, and the children in AWANA. Joan enjoyed the company of her friends, and spending time with family.

Joan went to be with her Lord on December 25, 2012 at the age of 71. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Barbara Worsham of Northbridge, Massachusetts; brother, Frederick Powell of Lenexa, Kansas; long-time friend Marie Testa of Port Charlotte, Florida; wonderful nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Thanks so much for your help.

All the best,

Tom Monjack

RE: Richard Storer, Sr ????
OK I found the source of some of my info on (ex)Richard Storer, Sr...Try this link, it's to "Internet Archive" and should work OK for you:

It looks like our guy had another wife between the two Marys: Elizabeth Wheatly. Also, it says he died in 1883 (right) at age 82 (not so right).

RE: Richard Storer, Sr ????
All of my Iowa Find A Grave entries come from the monthly journals of "Hawkeye" the state gene. society publication. You can see that I put a virtual flower on Richard Sr's memorial in April 2013. I started doing that (using the same flower) to mark (for me) when I did an edit. So I MAY have made him Sr. at that time, IDK. The tombstone photo was done by somebody else and all I can see on it is "Mother and Father". The bios on these guys look like my work (I like to put sources in [] brackets). I see the same dated flower on the youngest Storer, too, so I did something at that time.

Sometimes when I get an edit, it piques my curiosity and I do more research on Ancestry or newspapers, and add whatever I can find.

So long story short, IDK what suffixes should be on which people. If you want to change them, it's ok with me, just send an edit. If it doesnt' conflict with the photo, I'll do them. I must run right now, but if you want to discuss further, just email me or reply here & I'll see if I can reproduce that source on Sr's memorial to see if he was referred to as "Sr" in that bio. Thanks for your interest.

Rader research
I was at Cox Library in Greeneville on Friday and met a man who was searching for a Rader who married Catherine "Caty" Peters about 1818 in Greene County. Is this someone that you also research? If so, he would like to talk with you.
Contact me at and I will give you his information. Thanks,
Shelby Morris
