|Bruce Giddens||Borland Family|
William Borland came to Wallkill, NY in 1730, to claim land granted to him by George II in 1727. Some years ago, my mother visited a lady in Montgomery, NY, who showed her the original grant deed signed by George II. Since then, the unknown lady has surely died, and we have no idea where the land grant may have gone. Got any ideas?
Thank you so much for your efforts and help!

Isaac Colt's 1791 Sussex Co, NJ will, proved 1792, leaves a 1/4th share to his daughter, Hannah McNeal, and names his son-in-law, Edward McNeal one of the executors. As "Edward McNeal, of Walkill, Ulster Co" [sic, it is in adjoining Orange Co], NY, executor, he sells Isaac's land in Sussex Co, NJ under the will. Undocumented Ancestry Family Trees give Edward McNeal 2 wives, Ann Vail with all the children and Hannah Colt with all the same children. There is a death date for Ann Vail of 1790 [undocumented and she's not in this cemetery, nor is Hannah] which would make all the children except Jacob born 1793, Ann's. However I estimate that Hannah Colt, by her position in the will of Isaac Colt, around the only birth date I know, that of his son Isaac Colt, Jr born ca 1843, would be about 54, possibly 48 years old in 1793 when Jacob McNeal was born. I plan to have the deeds and estates searched for Orange Co. Any ideas? Your Find-A-Grave entry suggests you are also looking for a proven wife and mother of the children.
