Bio and Links
Bio Photo I decided since I love this site so much I would try to do some good on it too. I have been researching my own family genealogy for over 10 years and love it! My main interest is in the Maxson and Boyce's in Buckhannon, WV.

The principle primary sources I use in every post I make include, as applicable and where available: compiled military service records, company descriptive lists, company registers, pension files, federal burial records, federal soldiers' home records, draft registrations, and censuses. If necessary, I will use secondary sources such as Bates History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, military data found on Ancestry.com, and the Pennsylvania Archives' ARIAS file but as guideposts, not as sources for definitive data. I use tombstone data but with caution because many are incorrect or at least incomplete. Genealogical data comes from the pension files to the extent that it is possible to one man to read so many (I have already read nearly 7,000, but that barely scratching the surface). If necessary, I will use Internet genealogies if they appear to be well constructed. I will also tap obituaries but again with extreme caution because I doubt that half of those I've read offer accurate military data and those that are accurate tend to be for offi.

John Ward's pension file and compiled military service record files provided most of the data I sent for him.

There is a tree posted at ancestry.com that has Genevieve in the tree. She is listed as Vivian Genevieve Wells her parents are listed as Lawrence Tip and Lilly Ann Myers Wells. The owner of the tree goes by the user name littlefawn33. The tree is titled the Webb Family Tree. I don't know if this is the same person that contacted me, but you might try them and see where they got their information.

No, I'm sorry, I clean my email folder out every so often. I changed the name back to Tip on the memorial. If she contacts me again I will refer her to you.

Another contributor sent me a correction and said that her father's given name was Lawrence and that "Tip" was a nickname that he went by. I didn't find anything to verify what she told me, but she insisted that she was correct. To keep the peace I made her correction.

Its 16 Jan 1957. She was buried on the 18th. May was the date recorded by the county. Theres even an April 27th registry date. I agree, registras sometimes make documents even more confusing. Wonder why the delay when no autopsy performed? Good catch.

RE: Isaac Nutter kids
Hi Lorie. Calhoun Nutter was born 1855 Calhoun Co., WV and died about 1858 Calhoun Co., WV. From what I understand his only mention is in the notes provided to my great-grandmother, Ella Jane Nutter Wilkerson (daughter of Warren and Rebecca). Calhoun does not appear on census documents. He was buried on Isaac and Martha's property near the Little Kanawha River. They lived on 173 acres near Arnoldsburg before moving to Hollenburg KS in 1866. Thats all I have.

Do you know the dates and burial info for George and Caroline? I also have nothing on Mary Ellen and Delphia.

Thanks for the email.
