Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Corley, WV. My adult life has been spent in the northern VA suburbs. My passion for the history of Braxton County and uncovering the genealogy of the families - who were a part of the community that shaped me - is being fanned into flames in my retirement years. I will work to do a walk-through survey of cemeteries in the area to share with FAG viewers.

I appreciate your advising me of additions or corrections. Many thanks.

Paula,
I apologize, I probably intended to cancel that request rather than submit it and hit the wrong key. I have no evidence for a more specific birthdate than what you have on the memorial. Thanks for checking.
Regards,
Paulene

Regarding changes to Jas Hudkins
I got the information off of his stone, and I don't like changing the information unless you are positive that it is incorrect.

Hi Paula, The inscription could very well be 46 years instead of 16. I do not have a physical picture. This was a transcription. You can request a photo to get a better look. If all signs point to Sarah as the one you are referring to, let me know and I'll make the updates. Let me know if you need anything else. - Tammy

Martha Elizabeth Henline Fox Blake
Hello! I noticed you said you have a passion for the history of Braxton County and uncovering the genealogy of the families, so I was wondering if you could help me. My great grandfather, Ozzie Fox, was married to Martha Elizabeth Henline in Burnsville WV. Both were from Braxton county, WV. After he died, she married a Francis Blake. I've found both marriage certificates to Ozzie and Francis, but my problem lies with Martha's parents. I can't find ANYTHING about them. No names or anything. Have you happened to come across her parents names anywhere? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Paula, Back in August you took the time to photograph these for me. I'm just getting around to updating things and want you to know how much this is appreciated.

Byrne Babies Markers
On second look on my Byrne tree on Ancestry I came across the actual location of the little brothers grave in the 2001 email I received. I'll include here as I don't see how to edit my previous message.

" Row 23 Perry Byrne C45, G2 1845 - 1845 Peyton Byrne C45, G1 - 1845 In looking through my source, there were two unknown graves located at C45, G3 and G4 in Row 22."

Thanks so much for any information on these little brothers.

Perry Byrne marker
Greetings,
I was surprised and happy to see Peyton Byrne marker from the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens cemetery in Heaters, WV.

"Infant Peyton Byrne's grave removed from Moses Cunningham farm along with brother Perry and at least 2 unknown graves to Little Kanawha Cemetery when the Burnsville Dam was built. Row 23, C45- grave 1. Are the two unknown graves moved with the little brothers Peyton and Perry their grandparents Peyton Byrne and Barbara Linn Byrne?" This is my notation on my Byrne tree on Ancestry.

Would you know if Perry's marker still is in place? An email from 2001 mentioned that the grass was overgrown over the markers and hard to find them?

Thanks so much for any insight you may have on these little brothers.
