I was born and raised in Corley, WV. My adult life has been spent in the northern VA suburbs. My passion for the history of Braxton County and uncovering the genealogy of the families - who were a part of the community that shaped me - is being fanned into flames in my retirement years. I will work to do a walk-through survey of cemeteries in the area to share with FAG viewers.|
I appreciate your advising me of additions or corrections. Many thanks.

I am looking at your record of Hanson Cogar in the Braxton Memorial Cemetery. As I look at the birth listed could it be 1865 and not 1885. I know there is a Hanson born in 1865, who is born to Delilah Skidmore Cogar.
|Tom Price||Teter research|
Hi, I have been researching the Teter family lines for years and just saw your Find A Grave postings. would love to hear from you. My direct line goes back thru Commodore Teter to Garret Teter to Isaac Teter, etc. if you would like to correspond, my email is:
|Kelly Nupp||John Eubank|
I posted a picture of John Eubank's gravestone (Flatwoods Cemetery, Braxton Co) that I took back in 2002. Back then the stone was still fairly clear. This stone is next to his wife Perlina (Wade) Eubank. You have him listed as John Lewis Eubank. Many in the family do use a middle name but his stone and all records only list him as John Eubank.
Thanks Kelly Eubank Nupp
John Eubank was my gg grandfather.

Hi, thank you in advance for the work you do. I would love to get a photo of my grandfather James Martin Hamric's grave. He is buried there with his 3rd wife Columbia Hinkle Hamric.
We did not realize he was so close when we did some ancestry search this year in the Braxton area. Is it possible you might have time to snap a photo for us one day? We have a group of people on this end that I will share with in the Hamric line.
My email: email@example.com
My family is all from that area - Carrolls, Shavers, Hamrics, Strickland, Prince, Brock, Wilson, McCue -- all from the Frametown, Otter, Braxton, Flatwoods area.
Would love to hear from you. Thanks!
|Pat McCoy||THE "Linger" graves at the Newville cemetary|
My name is Pat Linger McCoy and my father was Claude C. Linger and he is buried at the cemetery in Newville, WVa. I noticed that you added some of the family on Find a Grave. My father was one of 11 children and there seems to be only 7 listed on the listings that you made. I just wanted to bring this to your attention so you you correct the error. You have done a nice job filling in the ones that are there.
The Siblings are
I do not have birth dates and death dates available.
Thank you for your time.
|KATHY||Okey Louis Allen (#103970134)|
Good evening Paula. In reviewing my messages, I don't see where I thanked you for the wonderful grave/gravestone photo that you added to Mr. Allen's memorial on August 26. I apologize for the delay in this acknowledgement. I would be honored to assume management of his memorial, if you wish (I claim no family connection). He served in the same World War II combat outfit as did my beloved late father (the 325th GIR). In any case, your kindness and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I was just wanting to let you know to disregard the SAC I sent you on Johnny Volga in Copen Cemetery. There are 2 of them but they have different parents. I am posting the other cemetery pic.
