I am trying to find out any information on my Dad's side of my family. The last names I am researching are Chamberlain, Dreiser, Dickerson and Dies.|
I am also researching my Mom's side of my family. The last names are Bozages, Nickolas, Voses or Vasos (sp?)(Greek surnames). If anyone has any information on these surnames...please contact me.
I live in California with my husband and 2 of our 3 children. Our daughter is married and lives with her husband in San Jose, CA. I can take photos in the Modesto, California area.
If you would like any of the memorials of the people I have listed on Find A Grave transferred to you...please let me know and I will be more than happy to do that for you.
If I have made any errors, please let me know and I will correct them.

|Jeffrey Bloomfield||Dreiser - Dresser|
I was checking out your site a bit and was impressed to see the novelist Theodore Dreiser and his brother Paul Dresser were both among your family relatives. I'm not sure you are aware of this, but Paul Dresser's life was the subject of a movie biography in the 1940s, with Victor Mature playing the composer.

I have been having problems with my computer recently so I am late responding to your request.
The only thing I can tell respecting what I wrote that you saw was that the story about Congressman Dies (Jr.) was in the memoirs of the actor James Cagney (CAGNEY by James Cagney) published back in the 1980s. As you are aware the Congressman was serious about his anti-Communist crusade, but I found it interesting that he was human enough to want the autograph of a famous film star. The store that I saw the Congressman's signature in was the "Argosy Book Store" in Manhattan (New York City) on East 59th Street and Lexington Avenue. Unfortunately I did not get the Congressman's autograph then or since.

You're Welcome Joann,
I was glad to fill your request. Ada and H. Glenn are next to each other behind the Harkins monument. Lewis is not with them. He is two rows behind them.
Thank you for the kind words you wrote on my son's memorial. And to thank you also for taking the time to stop & read his bio about his short life. It's deeply appreciated by me & didn't go unnoticed.
Have a great night!

No, I'm too very distantly related for a transfer - let's see if someone closer comes along. But thanks for the offer.

Thanks...I guess it was just a mistake in the obituary.... or maybe it was my mistake in typing... but I think the stone is correct.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Feel free to delete my other postings... sorry I left so many! Have a great week! Cecile
|Mom to angels Bo and Chris||Sorry|
You are right...38 according to the stone... I see where I have 37... I will try to find more information as soon as I can! Thanks! Cecile

According to the stone, she would be 39 years old... I think I got the 37 from an obituary... which I am unable to find right now... I am not sure which one was in error. I will do my best to correct this as soon as I can. Thank you for contacting me!
