Bio Photo Lived in Holmes County almost all of my life. Have a lot of relatives in Carroll, Holmes, Attala, Grenada and Tippah Counties, and am fairly familiar with these areas. I love visiting the cemeteries and am so glad to help out with pictures. I don't mind transferring ownership to a family member but please let me know how you are related or how you found the information.

RE: Parkinsons
Hello Margaret and thanks for the update. Which of the Parkinsons do you know? We are not in touch with the MS branch as we are in TX and our close relatives are gone now. They tore down the little church at Pleasant Ridge? Oh looked so nice when we visited several years ago! I will see if I can find Ms. Ingram's number and give her a call. I shall keep you name for possible help there in Holmes County! THANKS SO MUCH! pas 47 pap yahoo com (without punctuation!) if you wish to write me directly :))

Thanks for the edit! All of the Parkinsons in the Durant area are my husband's family. His grandparents, Henry & Jodi Parkinson, are buried in Pleasant Ridge. We have visited on several occasions. It is a lovely cemetery and so is the church even though we didn't have an opportunity to go inside. Would you happen to know who holds the records for this cemetery? I would truly like to see if other family is buried there but doesn't have a stone. Any help you may offer is appreciated! Blessings~

RE: McDonalds - Ridley Hill
Hi Margaret, it's good to meet you. George and Ella McDonald are ancestors of mine and most if not all of there children are buried there. John and Emma are George's brother and sister in law. I appreciate you recording all of the memorials because it was getting dark so I had to go but I will checkout your other McDonalds in Madison to see if I recognize anyone. Thanks for contacting me.

Thank you!

I see you have moved into Madison. Keep it up!
I'm glad to know that you're out again.
Take care, hope to join you soon out there somewhere walking a cemetery.

Thank you for your consideration,

Talitha Mansell
Good morning,
Talitha Mansell's father was William Mansell and her brother is Izariah. Both William and Izariah are buried in Good Hope Cemetery with newer tombstones. I'm not sure why the Mansell family didn't install a newer tombstone for Talitha.

Thank you for searching the Good Hope Cemetery for Talitha Mansell's tombstone. According to the Mansell family she is buried in this cemetery along with her father and brother. Either she is buried without a tombstone, or the tombstone has faced destruction over the years. Thanks again for your efforts.

RE: Igie Monday
Well..LOL. all the census's have it as either Icy, Icie or Isa.
But-the stone does look like Igie.

maybe just a note in her BIO of the variations of her given name?
