|My wife and I do genealogy so we have been in a lot of libraries, cemeteries, court houses and outhouses all around the USA. At first, I started photographing only my family and friends' tombstones. It therefore became a duty to take pictures of all the markers in the cemeteries throughout Ellis county.|
Several of the names and dates which are already listed that do not yet have photos, contain many errors. After taking their tombstone pictures, I have noticed those mistakes when comparing the actual inscriptions with the information that has already been uploaded. I also see a lot of people listed more than once, which throws off the number of graves indicated.
If and when I make a mistake please e-mail me and I will gladly correct it. If the person is a relative or friend and you wish to manage the listing, I will happily relinquish ownership and transfer it over to you. We are members of the Ellis County Genealogical Society which meets the 1st Monday of each month, 7:00 pm, at the Ellis County Woman's Building, 407 West Jefferson Street in Waxahachie. Membership is open to anyone interested in family history. Dues are $20 per calendar year and includes a subscription to ECGS quarterly publication, Searchers & Researchers.

|Salty Antoni||help which Shiloh Cemetery ??|
not sure if asking for too much help but these folks seem to be in a non-existent cemetery
Polk, John 106496752
b. 1915 d. Jun. 6, 1965 Shiloh Cemetery
Polk, Mrs John 106496929
b. unknown d. Jun. 6, 1965
(I found some of the others -in other cemeteries!)
John Polk, 50, of Dallas died following a fall in the bathroom of his home. He was pronounced dead on arrival at a Garland Hospital.
Services were held a the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Fred Bryson officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Survived by his mother - Mrs. Mattie Polk.
-- Any insight would be helpful -- not mine -- but just trying to clear-out this fake place!!
