We can all do more helping each other than we can working alone.|
Working my way through entries I manage in Collin, Wise County and Clay County, Texas. I gained management of a large group of them just recently so is a work in progress.
Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Harris County, Texas is a "project" of sorts for me, I have added over 15,000 entries and pictures to this cemetery so far.
If additional information is offered, happy to update entries I manage. I like to connect entries to their spouse and parent's entries, makes it much easier to move around for everyone and adds value to the entry.
Primary lines: Hollis, Patterson, Maxwell, Davenport, Combest, Riggins, Hammonds, Peck, Dick. But am collecting data on all associated surnames.
I love pictures, it brings a little life to these "dead" names on paper we work on every day. smile....Concerning the pictures I post to the Findagrave website, we have to make them smaller to fit on the webpage which means you can't zoom in on the picture to pick up details. If this is case on one you need, write me, I'll try to find the original and send it to you.
I choose to follow Findagrave guidelines for transfer, which can be found on the Findagrave FAQ page, but in summary.
I transfer your ancestors or your descendants or your siblings unless they are my ancestors as well, but remember your grandfather's sister's nephew is not your ancestor....I accept they are part of your family, but let's keep it your ancestors, your siblings or your descendants.
For updates or connections, please the "Suggest a correction" feature on an entry for update or transfer, this gives me a shortcut to the entry as well as sending me the correction you wish made. Typically, I will get the update or connection done the same or next day unless I am out of town.
Please don't make duplicates of existing entries, it is confusing to us all, having said that if I have made a duplicate it was an accident, please advise me so I can get it fixed either by deletion or having findagrave merge the 2 entries to preserve flowers or connections.
Some findagravers insist on having multiple surnames in the surname field because of several marriages, please use the surname they died with as it makes a search for them nigh on to impossible otherwise.

I am a Snell family member and a Findagrave volunteer. John Newton Snell's parents are in Evergreen Cemetery, Lovelady, Houston County, Texas. James Quay Snell's Memorial is #49586490. Martha Geneva Long's Memorial is #49586488. Perhaps you could update the family links to add his parents, since I cannot. Thank you so much! Elizabeth Clibourn Wycoff (Volunteer #47485440)
Richard, this is my father & he always spelled his name YOUIL..... I'm aware what the birth cert.has but I know how he signed his name. Also his parents are William Henry West & Neatie Ellen Hines West.

Would you transfer Emely Williams, Find A Grave Memorial# 71040449, to me please. She was my great-grandmother, her daughter Mary Alice being my mother's mother.
Btw, I see you have some interest in burials in Collin County, Texas. GGM Emely, whose real name was Emily (nee Grisham) (Mrs. Jason) Medlin, was from Greenville County, South Carolina. In the 1880s her parents, James Jacob & Caroline Grisham, as well as Emily's siblings and their families, moved from Greenville County, SC to Collin County, Texas. After that, at some point, the surname spelling seems to have been changed to Grissom.
Thanks so much for the transfer! I really appreciate it!

I'm somewhat confused . . . however, you ACCEPT transfers that are not within the Find a Grave Guidelines? Do you transfer family members of others who can well manage the memorials of family members although they are not strictly in the Guidelines? And possibly close friends who are well known like family? Thank you very kindly. Best regards, Nancy
|Ray Reed||lizzie p scott|
Your memorial # 39349581 (July,11,2009) for
Lizzie Patterson Scott is the same as
memorial #111178547 (May,26,2013)
for Lizzie Lillian Scott by Cheryl Schouten.
The cemetery didn't list a "Lizzie Patterson"
so it did lead to some confusion on my part.
I have posted her death certificate on both
I guess you and Cheryl can decide what to do.

I see that you are manager over Daniel Huson and I am wondering if you are somehow related to them. I am looking for Carrie Ellen (Billinger) Holman ( who may be the daughter of Estes Blackwood Billinger) and I was told to start here with Daniel. Not sure how that fits in yet but I will try anything. Please let me know if you can shed some light on this.

Mr. Hollis would you please transfer management of the two memorials in subject line above to me. They are Samuel James Robertson and Henry M. Robertson both of which are my Great Grand Uncles. Thank You in advance.
