|I love history, genealogy, and photography, and have fond memories of my grandfather taking me to his favorite cemetery and telling stories of all the people he knew. But it wasn't until I was researching the history of our house(s) that I found myself trying to figure out whether previous owners had stuck around and were buried in local cemeteries. I took a photo and then another and another. |
I love hearing from people all around the world who are looking for a loved one or a long lost relative.
If everyone who died in a war, declared or undeclared, was listed on FAG, there would be no more wars. I love the idea that people can be remembered, forever.

John Dowie is not buried in Lake Forest Cemetery by his wife Helen. There is a headstone there - with no death date. I inquired at the office, and they indicated he is not there, and that the plot where Helen Dowie is buried and John's headstone was owned by Mr and Mrs. Low - who were also from Scotland. If you have any information as to where John is buried, I'd love to know!!

I meant Turner folks, sorry I got off course.
I hope I haven't asked before but do you know anything about these people?
|debilyn||RE: Knox obits (Lake Forest IL Cemetery)|
You are welcome! I too, enjoyed reading them. Some of the old obits can be very interesting.
I also submitted auto edits for both of them.

I enjoy the history that goes with taking photographs. Thanks for your work and giving me that opportunity, I suspect you took a photo yourself. It is in a poorly lit location. Graceland's 100K burials will not be finished in my lifetime I don't believe. I may try though. Regards, Bob Lerch
