My name is Herbert Good, and I live in San Andreas, California. In 1992 I retired from the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, where I had worked for 34 years in their Missiles and Space Division, for the most part as a Mechanical Design Engineer, and a Systems Test Engineer.
After retirement I moved from the Santa Cruz, California area to San Andreas, and started walking for my health, which led to walking in, and visiting cemeteries. I became interested in documenting the local cemeteries, then decided to research the area newspapers, which started publishing around 1850, recording births, marriages and deaths.
Around ten years ago the state of California decided to restrict access to the county birth and death records, which was to start in January, so I spent the next six months sitting in the Recorder's Office transcribing the records. I managed to complete them up to the year 2000.
If you have ancestry in the Calaveras County area of California, and need a lookup or photograph, please feel free to send a request.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.
I think I may have found Priscilla's husband, William B. Webster. He died, 19 Apr 1868, in Mokelumne Hill, Calaveras, California. He is buried in the Protestant Cemetery in Mokelumne Hill.
I also found a record that shows Priscilla died at the Gwin Mine, in Calaveras County. Could she be buried in the Protestant Cemetery with William?
Again...Thanks for your help in locating my Folsom cousins final resting places.

Thank you for adding gravestone photos for George Washington Folsom, his wife, brother and sisters.
I am searching for George's father and older sister. George's father is Nicholas Folsom. He died in 28 Feb 1880 in Calaveras, California. George's sister is Priscilla (Folsom) Webster. She died 20 Apr 1886 in Calaveras, California. It's my understanding Nicholas was living with Priscilla and her family.
Could you check your California Death File to see if these two individuals are listed? If they are, could you locate the cemetery they are buried in and provide a photo of their gravestone (if they are available).
Thank you for any assistance you can provide me in locating Nicholas and Priscilla burial information.

I have been researching for years my gr grandmother Hannah Waters. A chance comment left by you is leading me onward! You wrote something about her sister (whom I had not known about). I'm hoping I can find more information...so many, many thanks.
