MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO:

BEANIE & JUNE who helped with the research and the thousands of hours we all have spent looking and developing this site not only for us but for others. Their input for the Auburn cemeteries has been transferred for me to maintain. Records will continue to be added. Any information, links, pictures, etc. are very welcome for all to share.

My horoscope one day in late Dec 2014.
It sounded so like me.

The oddest thing about your current situation is that the more you accomplish, the more you realize how much work there is still left to do. Unfortunately, you can't just walk away from your obligations now. You might even have to put extra effort into what seems like an impossible task. Forget about the final goal since you're not going to arrive there today, anyhow. Meanwhile, keep in mind that everything you do along the way can have a positive and lasting influence on the future.

Mercedes Mendez
Just curious, are you a relative of Mercedes, Frank, Steve, and Gabriel Mendez at Auburn District Cemetery in CA? Mercedes had another son named Julio. Do you know the location of graves for Francisco (her husband) or Frank Jr?

McCrary Family in Old Auburn Cemetery
Glenda, I see that you and Claudia have created most/all of this family's memorials - I have added some additions that I discovered in my research - one of the sons married into one of my families.

What I am writing to ask is, the father of the family, Joseph Sidney McCrary was married twice; the wife he is listed with, Zoriah Belle Miller, was his second wife and she was the mother of all but the two oldest sons - John William and Asa. Their mother was Lucretia Strange McClary, and on ancestry, it says she died Oct. 18, 1892 in Auburn. Joseph McCrary married his second wife in 1896.

Do you have any record of where Lucretia Strange is buried? Any way to find out? I see it is possible she was buried in the IOOF Cemetery, since it seems it wasn't shut down until 1896. Anyway, just wondering - thank you for any information you can give me.

John and Harriet Wagner, Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS
Glenda,

You apparently had a photo request for this couple at some point in time and were told the graves were unmarked. We recently took pictures in the section of the cemetery, and I think I have found their stone. It is a cement stone with no apparent surname, but the names and dates seem to match the information on these memorial. I have posted our pictures. If you agree this is their stone, you might want to delete your flower offerings saying the graves are unmarked. The next stone is another cement stone recorded, when the cemetery was walked in 1993, as Ernest Bryant who was a grandson of John and Harriet Wagner.

RE: Primrose Pics
Your welcome. When the weather clears a little I will get a better picture. It had just snowed and was melting and grass was on the stone.
See what it is like on Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving to you

Dewitt State Hospital deaths.
Hello,

I am researching patients who died at DeWitt. Are the death certificates searchable at the county offices?

Thanks
