Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest in Find A Grave began while researching my family history. After creating memorials for my ancestors and extended family, I added information from obituaries in old extant newspapers.

For the past few years my focus has been on taking headstone photos. I add pictures and/or memorials to Find A Grave nearly every day.

Like you, I am a volunteer. I participate in this labor of love because I believe it's an important part of our history.

I will gladly update any memorial in my care with a sourced request. Simply share a few details about how you know something to be true when you submit an edit (using the edit tabs please).

Inside voices and good manners are very much appreciated.

RE: Elizabeth Perry Van Buskirk and John Perry
HI! I've been a member for HOW LONG? Apparently, I signed up a decade ago and probably couldn't figure out how to use ithe site. Also, hardly any of my people were listed back then. An avid researcher of yours is urging me to get involved, so I'm starting out again with baby steps.
These first contributions are from my ancestry tree and use private passed-down family information and Internet research. I am working only on my own ancestors at first.
I will pick a designation for myself and get going; this is very important work.. Thank you.

Re: Lillian (Mars) Prenatt
Did I tell you that Lillian's middle name is Bessie? It isn't Bessie, it is Bishop. Madison Daily Herald Tues. Feb 17, 1920 Pg. 4 Col. 2 "County Clerk Prenatt today received announcement of the marriage of Miss Lillian Bishop Mars, of Kenilworth, Ill., to Mr. Maurice Sanxay Prenatt...."

RE: Lillian M Prenatt
I have the marriage record for Maurice S. Prenatt to Lillian B. Mars on Feb 14, 1920 at the Church of Holy Comforter in Kenilworth, Cook Co., IL (you should be able to pull it up from I also have 3 newspaper articles (2 from Chicago papers, 1 from Madison IN paper) on the marriage of Lillian to Maurice. In the 2 Chicago articles, it states she was the daughter of Mrs. George H. Mars. I have obituaries for Maurice (1945) in which he states his wife was Lillian Mars (she survived him). You should be able to find Lillian's birthdate by searching Rootsweb. Someone searched her baptismal record at Holy Name Cathedral (Chicago) and it included her date of birth Nov 8, 1879 and baptism Dec 26, 1879. In the 1900 census (living with an uncle), her birth is given as November 1879.

Microfilm #1578585 #7, Holy Name Cathedral,
Baptisms, 1872-1891:
page 129 - 1879: Baptized Dec 26 - Lillian -
lawful child of George H. Mars & Hannah Meehan -
born 8 Nov 1879 - sp. Andrew Jaicks & Cath. Bishop -
priest: John McMullin

Thanks for the clarification. Now I know to send you an email first, rather than sending a note with the edit when I send one.
