I find entering bio's and photo's and such for my family members relaxing. Nothing like a good romp in a cemetery to top off my day. |
I am currently recording Sherwood Cemetery in Sherwood, MI. I am also adding a little info about the people buried there when I can find it. I am finding my information from Death Certificates on Seekingmichigan.com, Gendis.com, and sometimes the census. I also have copies of the "History of Branch County" where I may find a little info on my people. I hope this helps someone with their research and in finding their lost family members. Thank you to everyone who is leaving tokens for these people. To my knowledge I am not realated to anyone in this cemetery, but I feel like they are my family now.
I think this says it all:
They say that life is fleeting,I know that this is true.I left this world so quickly, With no goodbye to you. I know how much you miss me, Your tears fall ever light. The pillow where you lay your head, Is wet with them at night. I know your heart is hurting, The words we left, unsaid. I love you's left unspoken Are spinning in your head. The strength that I have carried, That served to make you whole. Remains to make you stronger, Within your grieving soul. For you see, while you were weeping On the day I passed away, At the gravesite near the flowers Where my loved ones knelt to pray. An angel came to see me, She took me by the hand, She led me to a kingdom In a very distant land. As I look down from the heaven, And see you standing there Your heart so ever burdened With more weight than it can bear. I long to bring you comfort, I long to give you peace, I long to hold you closely, Cause all your tears to cease. The joy I've found in heaven Goes far beyond compare. The love that's so elusive, Can be found here everywhere. The light is softly shining. There's no storm clouds here or rain. There's no tear drops found in heaven. There's no suffering, there's no pain. You needn't be so troubled, Stay close to God and pray That someday we'll be together, One bright and glorious day. So my love, you shouldn't question My dear you need not cry I've gone to be with Jesus I really didn't die.

Just an afterthought. It would certainly be easier for me if you could upload the tombstone photos to my entries and then delete your entries. I'd actually prefer that more.
But whatever is easiest for you. I am sorry about the inconvenience.
Again, thank you.

Thank you for entering these graves. By mistake, I have duplicated them. I would like to correct, update, and manage these two graves. I think it would be easier for me to do if I managed them. Would you be willing to transfer them to me for me to manage?
I am sorry I duplicated your work. The obits did not mention where they were buried, and I assumed Battle Creek, Calhoun County. I check in Calhoun County for them on Find A Grave before I posted them but not state wide. Sorry about the confusion.

Dena...many thanks for all your Sherwood Cemetery postings. Would it be possible to add a bio I would like to write for Maria? I have a considerable amount of info regarding her parentage. Audrey Brennan Florentine

Just thought you'd like to read what I added to your info about F.G. West, buried at the Radcliffe Cemetery.

The photo posted of the Fraker grave is of little use, as the inscription is obscured by a flower bouquet. The date 1981 showing in the photo doesn't match the dates posted, which suggests there is likely 2 sets of dates for two people buried there.
If you take another photo and post the dates inscribed, that would be very helpful.
