Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy visiting cemeteries in different regions and fulfilling photo requests. If there is a memorial you would like updated or transferred, please let me know.

Feel free to use the tombstone photos my husband has taken that I have submitted or sent to you, in any way you choose, except for creating duplicate Find A Grave memorials or adding them to your own memorials for which you have asked me to delete mine, or which you have subsequently deleted after my transferring the memorials to you. Please contact me about using any cemetery profile photos or family photos. Thank you.

RE: John Hartley #130190101 Updates
I can only respond to this question as such: John Hartley is in my tree through his wife's sister.

RE: Woodrow Whittaker
Loretta,

I checked cemetery records and Woodrow was 79 when he died. He died on December 31st, 1995. As far as a plaque goes, I didn't see one.

I'm sorry, I don't have any of the information you seek. Nor do I any longer live close to Mount Hope Cemetery. Good luck in your search!

RE: Douglas Venable
You are very welcome. I'm always happy to have a memorial more complete or correct than I was able to initially make it.

RE: William Traver in Cobblestone #136218719
I deleted one of the spouse links, so I think it's okay now..

I hope the Traver family appreciates this. I hope that didn't rude, I'm smiling as I type. I hope they find it useful.

One more thing: William and Clarry had 9 children. Yep. A couple of them are buried in Cobblestone, the rest elsewhere.

I'll work on finding them and I'll send you the information via edit since I think it would be on William Traver's page.

Tomorrow, when it's snowing, I'll do that.

Be well.

RE: William Traver in Cobblestone #136218719
Glad I could be of some help. I'm going to see the Traver stone, but now I heard it was supposed to snow here tomorrow and Sunday, so it might have to wait. But I'll get there. If you've got anything else here in Southeastern Wisconsin you need information about or whatever, let me know and I'll try to help. (I'm a transplant here in lovely rural Wisconsin, for the last 10 years or so. Before that, I lived in Chicago's northern burbs, we used to walk the cemeteries down there too.) Be well and stay warm.

Hi Loretta,
I have no idea if that link above will work or not, try it and see.

Also, here's an older image of the tombstone and if you enlarge it and fiddle with it with the light/dark options, you'll see that the '1' is most likely a '4' like you thought/are thinking. It's hard to read, but it's darker than the new photo of the repaired stone.

Bottom line, I believe his birth date to be:
9 August 1796 in Dutchess County, New York.

That would coincide with the age of death being 64, not 61.

If none of this works I live just a minute or so down from the cemetery and I can go over there and see for myself and take some more pictures.

So........hope this helps. I really like the way you go about this, insisting on the most accurate information with something to back it up. That's the only way we'll keep these records working as intended.

Let me know, and if necessary, I'll go down there and photograph. I was planning to go there anyhow. Haven't been there in a long while. Husband has been ill all last year and is still sick and will be have treatments next week - so I'm behind on all things Find-A-Grave and all things in general.

Best to you, and let me know -
