BEANIE & JUNE who helped with the research and the thousands of hours we all have spent looking and developing this site not only for us but for others. Their input for the Auburn cemeteries has been transferred for me to maintain. Records will continue to be added. Any information, links, pictures, etc. are very welcome for all to share.

You were very helpful and kind to me with my research. Auburn Public Library. RETIRED 2012

Samuel Ivar Saeiloo?
Hello Mrs. Glenda Ragan

Im writing to you in a hope of if you would have some tips how to find the place where my great grandfather has been buried and when did he died. His name was Samuel Ivar Seiloo, but in USA census the writing format is Samuel Ivar Saeiloo. He was born in 14th of august 1886 in Finland and he left in America in 1909. The last information about him can be find in census of the year 1940 when he was working in the goldmine in a town called Greenwood in the County of El Dorado and his address was Spanish dry diggings Sliger mine road.

During the years 1909-1945 he was regularly in contacts with his relatives in Finland, but in my knowledge the contacts has been stopped between the years 1940-1945. I suppose that he died during the years 1940-1945. Do you have any tips how can I find the place where Ivar has been buried and when did he die?

Best regards, Veli-Matti

John P Bobo
Found a possible spouse. His history has him in SF for a while. There is a Louise Bobo in Sacramento City Cemetery with a note in their files as spouse of John P. Bobo. Her locator number is 127978636. The cemetery's web site has a PDF of burials.

By any chance are you related to or know where she might be? I have looked for her for years. She was my friend in 5th grade. Thank you

Hi Glenda,
Was in the Penn Valley Cemetery today. Saw the flowers you left on Mr. McCully's Find a Grave site. He has a temporary marker in the same plot with James McCully. Just thought you might like to know.

My grandparents and great grandparents are buried in the Auburn Cemetery and their pages are managed by you. Would it be possible to transfer their memorial pages to me? I have several additions that need to be made.

I found your notes on John Danial Clark,(BoBo) and Don Craig. I didn't relize a person could put medals on their sites and about the wars they have been in. Do let me know what to do if you need help in getting them posted alright. I would really like to learn how to do this as my uncle Henley Morgan that is also buried in the Old Auburn cemetery was also in France during World War 2. As well as other family members such as my g.grandfather and his sons during the war between the states. I have also tried many many times to get a picture of Donald Craig. My cousin Sally has all the pictures of both Paul her husband and her brother in law, Paul's brother Don, but will not send any of the family a picture of him. As even his daughter would like to have a picture of him. His wife Maxine said she didn't have any at all. So will just have to wait and try later o.k I have all the paperwork to get the information about a person that was in the service, but only a child or dad or mother can get this information, as the goverment will not give their information out to anyone else, to see what kind of medals they received. Thank you for writing to me. Lenora

Glenda I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful pictures you take. Your work is excellent and greatly appreciated. I was born and raised in Auburn but now live in Florida. I have been unable to travel to the funerals of so many of my friends and neighbors. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to see their stones and say good bye.
Forever Grateful

F. Rowe
Hi Glenda,

I am somewhat new to this so I hope I am doing the right thing. If not, please let me know. F Rowe appears to be the same as Samuel Rowe (82835177) buried in Colfax. The birth years don't agree but the date of death does and we have a death cirtificate that lists the gunshot from the suicide. Samuel Rowe was married to Gertrude Goldsworthy Rowe and they are my husband's great grandparents. I did link his grandmother to their memorial but haven't git them linked to their parents. Gertrude's parents and daughter are also buried in Colfax.
There is always a chance I am wrong and there were 2 suicides then. One never knows! Thank you.

Keep up all the good work. I am not sure where Irene is buried, but she is not here or near her long deceased ex husband at Fiddletown Cemetery.
