Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest in Find A Grave began while researching my family history. After creating memorials for my ancestors, I started transcribing obituaries for others from extant Chicago newspapers.

My focus in 2015 is on photographing headstones, mostly in Chicago and surrounding suburbs. So far (August) I've taken more than 10,000 pictures which I am adding to Find A Grave as quickly as I can.

I will gladly transfer memorials (except those to whom I am related) to family members.

Surnames in my family tree include Adam, Åman, Bettinger, Carlson, Christian, Clarin, Clark/e, Ersson, Frontkofsky, Grosse, Gury, Houpert, Jonasson, Joughin, Landstrom, Larson, Littrell, Mangels, Morland, Mueller, Peterson, Ridenour, Schmitt, Shank, Shartzer, Thompson, Tolf and Walton.

My ongoing family history research and my love of cemeteries are shared on my blog: http://where2look4ancestors.com/

RE: Olive Tesmer
Transferring is a good idea - that way if anyone inquires about them, I'll know. Thank you. Three generations are in FamilySearch now with supporting documents.

RE: Olive Tesmer
I am, but not sure where Thaddous and Olive fit. I came across them when researching the descendants of Josef Tesmer b 1839 Poland and Katarzyna/Caroline Galicka b. 1845 Poland. This couple immigrated in April 1884 thru Baltimore with 8 children. Their last child was born in Chicago where they settled near other relatives. My paternal grandparents, Clara Julia Tesmer and John F. Kuklinski, are buried among relatives in St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Niles, Cook, IL.
Thanks for your hard work. It's deeply appreciated. My extensive Tesmers can be found on FamilySearch.org. I am constantly updating the line.

"United States Census, 1940," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KW1G-ZN2 : accessed 29 July 2015), Olive Tessmer in household of Thaddous Tessmer, Ward 35, Chicago, Chicago City, Cook, Illinois, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 103-2193, sheet 3B, family 63, NARA digital publication T627 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2012), roll 992.

If you follow the link in the ( ), you will see a transcript of the census entry but on the right side of the screen is a link to scan of the original document.

RE: Charles Sheeron
Good morning, Laura.

First, let me commend you on the extent of your contributions to Find-A-Grave. Also, for asking for proof. You are the first person who has done so. I wish Find A Grave had a way to provide with the suggested change.

I did not record my recommendation, but after looking at the memorial, I assume it was the the city where he died.

Charles Sheeron is my cousin Richard Vanderway's step-grandfather. Charles Sheeron was briefly married to Cornelia Bulthuis Vanderway. She was pregnant at the time of his death and had a stillborn girl four days after his death. She died two days later. I assume the stress of Charles' death may have contributed to these events.

I found proof of death on MyHeritage.com

Charles Sheeron
Gender: Male
Race: White
Death: Dec 31 1919
Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA
Age: Unknown
Certificate: 6033444

The proof I found on Ancestry.com "Cook County, Illinois Death Index, 1908-1988," [database on-line] does not mention the city.

Thanks for your dedication and conscientiousness.

RE: Peter Pederson
Good morning Laura, I believe I've suggested that Peter and Annie are husband and wife. Have I sent you another edit? I will send you Annie's death record which shows her spouse's name. I've also linked their son, Stanley, to each of them. If you view his memorial, a scanned copy of his obit is attached giving his parent's names. Furthermore, the headstone attached to both Peter and Annie's memorials has four names on it. Peter and Annie's are the only adult names, I.e. husband and wife. The other two names are infant/children's names, I.e. their children.
Thanks

RE: Donald Diers
They are buried next to each other on the same headstone and birth years are close together so telling me they were married.
