Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have deep family roots in New England for both myself and my husband's family. I take as many pictures as I can - please contact me if you need to have anything transferred since they're not all my families and I don't like to necessarily add information that isn't on the gravestone. Please feel free to use any photos I take for your own genealogies.

RE: Chief Lincoln Beers Mitchell
Hi, Nancy-

I asked my husband, who was a civilian employee of the Navy for 31 years. He said "Chief" is a higher rank of enlisted Navy officers and he added, "Chiefs run the Navy and they are well-respected." I don't know why I didn't think of asking him before! :) LOL!! S.R.F.

"Chief" Lincoln Beers Mitchell
Hi, Nancy,

Thank you for updating his memorial (# 45349594).

I sent a question through the SACs, but I don't know if you have seen it.

He was a Chief Metalsmither for the US Navy during WW II, so that is why I selected the title, "Chief," from the military titles that are available on Find-A-Grave.

I don't know if it is appropriate, or whether it refers to a Native American Indian Chief. Do you know?

# 43993795 and # 76270657

Can you tell me which is the correct cemetery?

Thank you, Ginnie
