Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, brake fluid or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site not a genealogy site. I try to use this as my guide when on this site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still actively looking for where the person is actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

William Brush
Hi, Gary,

I sent you a note that you had duplicate entries for William Brush, in the Brush Cemetery, in Putnam County, NY. One entry was for the footstone of the grave, identified, I think, as Brush? W, and the other was for William M. Brush.

I was at the cemetery on Monday, and found that there is a headstone and footstone, to which your two memorials referred. So one memorial was a duplicate.

My note for you was intended for you to hopefully consolidate the two memorials into one, and I inserted pictures into one of the memorials. But today I got Find A Grave Emails that led to deleted memorials, so it appears you took out both entries.

If there is no memorial to William now, I will put one in, with the pictures. If you want it in your name, I will gladly transfer it to you, since the original memorials were your.

With regards, Mary

Hello again
Do you mind me using some of your headstone photographs in my Ancestry.com family tree, if I give the credit for them ?
Hope to hear from you.

BOUGHTON MEMORIALS
Hello Gary
I am curious why you have declined to accept changes that I have suggested you make on several of your memorials. Obviously it is your call, but can you give me the reasons for the delines ?
Thanks in advance. Hope to hear from you soon.

all the cleanup
Hi Gary. Thanks for being on top of the updates!

I have a few duplicates that were created for memorials that you created previously. I don't know how you want to handle this. In may cases, there are now family links and photos attached to the duplicates (these family links should have been linked to your memorials). I'll send the list to your email, so be sure to check your junk mail or spam folder.

Choices for corrections:
1: you can delete your memorials (easiest)
2: you can request the other gravers process the updates for your memorials and then have them delete their (duplicate) memorials. (a lot of work here).
Cheers!

George Boughton b. 1926, d. 1988
Hi, this is what I have found so far (nothing really) If George was cremated at Green Lawn Crematory, his death certificate would state Green Lawn. If the funeral home or family member picked up his ashes, and they were never in "Permanent Storage" at the Cemetery. then there would be no record recorded at Green Lawn Cemetery. (Still trying to help you find George) Patty

Visited today looking for Jesse Banks 1742-1826 and his son Jesse Banks 1766-1833. We could find no stones here that were readable. Traveled long way to see them. Can you let me know where they are so we can travel back to photograph them? We will be in CT for a few more days. Linda Palmer, direct descendant

RE: Sgt. Wm H Boughton
I do have names of contemporary relatives. Please e-mail me at goldsmith_d@bellsouth.net and we can make arrangements to get those to you. Etta Lean Hellenberg gave the diary to my grandmother. I think Etta was married to one of William's relatives. (I think William went by his middle name Henry.)
