Charles Fields
Dianne, I have transferred Charles to you. Your transfer request were the kindest words that I've ever received in all the years I've done this. Thank you very much for taking the time to do that. God Bless and have a safe weekend.

RE: Anna & Louis Testorff
You're very welcome. Anna and Louis are my great, great grandparents on my father's side. I'm trying to make sure all their info is as up to date as possible on Find A Grave and Ancestry etc. :)

RE: John Taylor
You are very welcome. I thought it was odd that his parents, wife, and child had memorials set up in Evergreen, but he did not. I am not sure if this family was from the Friendship community, but that could be a possible reason that he was accidentally listed there. God's blessings to you.

Possible Relative?
Hi Dianne,

I'm wondering if we are possible relatives. I saw the note you left on my father's Find a Grave page, Luther H Richards. He is the son of Warren Richards, who I believe is the son of Thomas Richards. My father was 60 years old when he had me, and with him being the youngest of his siblings, I don't remember many of them even though he took me for the family reunions as a small child.

Are you familiar with my branch of the family?

Bill Holder
William Presley Holder

This is my Holder line, and I have been researching it for the last 20 years. I have taken the DNA test, and we fall into the Holder DNA group(D1a)at

There has only been one other line with a perfect 64 marker DNA match. This line is John Presley Holder b.15 May 1813 in VA, and d.15 Jun 1873 Glen Rose, Somervell Co., TX. We believe John Presley Holder was the son of Beverly Holder b. Pittsylvania Co., VA. I also believe that Beverly was the son of Presley Holder b. 1766 Pittsylvania Co., VA d. after 1850 Little Mountain Section, Surry Co., NC.

DNA proves we are related, but not direct, to Captain John Holder that went into Kentucky with Daniel Boone. Also anyone interested in joining the DAR, or Sons of the American Revolution, we have a line back through Charlotte Smith b: 14 Feb 1790. Her Father Nathaniel Smith served 5 years, 8 months in the Virginia Line. Proof can be found in the pension application of his wife Susannah Moyers "That she is widow of Nathaniel Smith who was a soldier in the Virginia Line in the War of Revolution that the aforesaid Nathaniel Smith enlisted in the nation service near the commencement of the War in the County of Culpeper in the state of Virginia and served five years and eight months."

I have tons of good information I have collected over the years. Please feel free to contact me.

RE: Virginia's transfer
I remember Virginia very well. Such a sweet lady. I use to go to her house and give her perms when she could not get out, when she lived in Rumsey. I also went to the Rest home in Owensboro and gave her perms. I bet she was a beautiful Lady when she was young, she was a beautiful "senior" Lady. She kept herself very prime and proper. She was in a wheel chair when I knew her, I think Old Arthur, I really do not remember why. I am glad family will care for her, was the husband there also? I do not remember.
