Bio Photo A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I've lived since 1998 in the Historic Licking Riverside Neighborhood of Covington directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. Much of my time on Find A Grave has been spent recording the Germans who settled in the Ohio River Valley in such large numbers. My grandmother Luetta Deitchman Crenshaw cultivated an interest in our heritage and she was an active member and officer with the German-American Club Gesangverein in Louisville. Together we researched the families of her 2nd-great-grandfathers, Carl Deutschmann (1800-1869) and Philip Jacob Deuser (1815-1874) of Charlestown, Indiana.

When I lived in the Highlands neighborhood of my hometown I would regularly visit St Louis Cemetery where my 4th-great-grandparents, Johann Michael Hillerich (1795-1879) and his wife Anna Apollonia Ritter Hillerich (1799-1876), are buried. Michael's grandfather Herr Johann Lorenz Hillerich (1734-1798) and great-grandfather Herr Albert Hillerich (1706-1765) were foresters and huntsmen for Karl Thomas, Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg (1714-1789). Michael's 2nd-great-grandfather Herr Paulus Ostner (d. 1751) was also a forester and huntsman for Maximilian Karl Albrecht (1656-1718), Fürst zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort. The residence of the Ostners and Hillerichs was a Herrenhaus known as the 'Seckmaurer Jägers Haus' an der Wörthers Grenze.

Another research interest is my 9th-great-grandfather Simon Philipp Martini (1654-1729), who along with his father and brothers helped operate the Waffenschule at Schloß Schadeck for Georg Wilhelm, Graf zu Leiningen-Westerburg (1619-1695). My 9th-great-grandmother Marthe Duval, Frau von Rocoulle (c.1655-1741) was a Hofdame at the Berlin court of Friedrich Wilhelm von Preußen (1688-1740) and Sophia Dorothea von Hannover (1687-1757) and was the Erzieherin of their son Friedrich der Große (1712-1786).

William Bridges
Todd, weren't you working on listing all of Linden Grove Cemetery? I am looking for a William Bridges who was born in Aug 1825 and who died between 1900 and 1910 (based on information I have). Can not find a death cert. His wife Armilda Hiler Bridges died Aug 20, 1895 and according to her death cert she was buried at Linden Grove. No marker was found for her. I have created a memorial for Armilda from this information. I just recently transferred the memorial to her great grandson. If you run across William in your searches, can you let me know?

Mr. Whitesides,
Do you have any information about this photo? I am a descendant of the family and am hoping to identify who appears in it.
