Location of "Old Vertrees burial ground"
Mr. Richards
Today, strictly by accident, riding and talking to my 92 year old mother.....I may have discovered the location of a "lost" Hardin County Cemetary referred to as the Vertrees burial ground and referenced in 1932 as being lost. It is there, it is greatly overgrown, and I cannot find it listed any where as even being there. If you will get in touch. I would appreciate your assistance, as I see that you have previously done some work relating to one of my "great" ancestors - Eljeptha and Martha Ennis Richardson Vertrees.
Thanks.

RE: Mary Gault
Hi Sure. Mary Annerye/Ayer Gyles/Giles is the daughter of robert ross Gyles and Elizabeth Eyre/Ayer
I am actually related to her in two ways through her brother Thomas samuel Charles & susan p Lamphere and through her sister Eleanor Gyles who married second James anson Lamphere. Eleanor is a pain in my side right now because her marriage record says eleanor welsh daughter of robert R Gyles and Eliza L. So I know she married a Welsh before marrying James Anson Lamphere, but then she just disappears and he then marrys a Elizabeth Antionette Webster-Soule she was married to a Alfred Soule he died she married James and then she also disappears with a child Ella Maud Lamphere, who ends up in Califorina in 1894 and then she disappears. UGHHHH

RE: Sarah Haines Curl
James
I think the NOAH found on #14211426 in Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio is NOT the brother of Sarah Elizabeth Haines-Curl. This belief is based on the assumption the birth date on the tombstone is correct. I would note, however, I've found multiple times over the years where there were wrong dates on the tombstone. Stacy Haines, the father, was born Oct, 1795 and married Dec 1817, if this NOAH was born 1816, that would be a year before Stacy's marriage, PLUS, the obit of David Terrell Haines Sr., brother of NOAH, shows David Terrell Haines, (1818-1899) to be the eldest of twelve children.
Thanks, I'll do some follow up. It looks like a connection of some sort.

Hi, Mr. Richards!
I will go and look at your memorial now. Thank you SO much for posting it. I actually do know his story. I have been to where his wife is buried: Off of Indiana 111 near "Rosewood" Indiana. However, I have never been to where he is buried! You have inspired me to whip up a quick article about him. We need to have that info in the museum, too.
Have a great day! Come to the West Point History Museum sometime. It's a nice little hometown museum :)

RE: Anna Sieboldt
Hi again. I found it. My grandfather, Herman William Sieboldt had many siblings. Sadly most of them died early. It is possible Anna is one of his sisters. I remember my grandfather speaking of a sister who got a scratch or something which developed into an infection which killed her. He also spoke of a brother who at age 16 fell off a wagon hitting his head and died. Something that is also strange is that it appears my son is the only one for his generation from my great grandfather August Sieboldt. Herman William and his sister Madeline were the only ones to have children. Madeline, her husband and daughter were killed together in an auto accident. My dad Herman Lester had only me and I have only one child. My uncle (Herman Lester's) brother had only one child who never had any children.
