Please make all editing and/or linking requests through the EDIT link within the memorial as I will not make any corrections/additions/linking unless done through this EDIT link. This is the only way to be sure I have the correct memorial.
Currently I live in Iron County Missouri and am trying to fulfill marker requests within this and adjoining counties. I am willing to consider transferring memorials outside the Find A Grave guidelines as long as requests are made through the EDIT link and it appears your request is legitimate and not just gathering as many memorials as you can.
When I find a cemetery that has several photo requests I try to photograph the whole cemetery which can take quite awhile as I am only able to walk the uneven ground for a couple of hours at the most. So I periodically go back and continue with my row by row photo surveying and posting of those photos I have taken. I create memorials for photos I have taken that did not have a memorial in the hope that a relative will find it.
I don't claim photo requests due to the fact that so many of the cemeteries in this area have no one to contact regarding burial location so I take row by row photos of the complete cemetery. When a request for a photo has been made and I was not able to find a marker I try to take photos of what appear to be specific plots for a surname and post it to the memorial with a caption stating so.
It is a good feeling to hear from someone who found a relative because I created a memorial after I found a marker. I try to avoid duplicates but it happens and am willing to delete mine if the other memorial was created before mine. If my memorial was created before yours I will be happy to transfer my memorial to you after you have deleted your duplicate.
If I find duplicate memorials for an individual I took a marker photo of I will only post it to the original memorial created. If I find my photo has been copied to a duplicate memorial I will notify Find A Grave of this for them to take the appropriate action.
Thank you It has been 17 years since my mother passed. She passed when I was 5 the day after mother's day in 1999. I have not been back to my home state since then really. I started digging around to find more info and I find a photo of my mom's gravestone. I thank you so much for this. It's been so long that I had no idea what it looked like and I have been wishing I could just be able to go see her grave. You granted that.
