|I have been interested (understatement) in family history for many years. I am especially interested in learning what life was like for my (and my husband's) ancestors, most of whom came to this country from Italy after the turn of the century - and my mother who came from England during WWII. |
After moving to Vermont in 1993, I became interested in the history of Stockbridge, the small town where I live. I enjoy helping other "historians" and genealogists pursue their passions. Together with a friend who has similar interests, I have created a Stockbridge history and genealogy website (though it is in dire need of updating) and have created a 360 page pictorial history of the town. We have a large number of photos and personal history given to us for this project and will be happy to help anyone with family history in Stockbridge.
All genealogists and history buffs are fascinated by cemeteries and the stories they tell. In Stockbridge, we are lucky enough to have a (New Jersey) friend, Tom Adams who continued his mother's extensive history work in Bridgewater, Vermont, by transcribing and photographing most Stockbridge cemeteries. He has allowed us to share those transcriptions and photos. Tom's information is available on request - I will try to add photos as time permits to existing memorials on Find A Grave.

Barbara, Thank you so very much for the many photos of the Packards and other families there in Stockbridge. If by any chanch you have any info on a Judson Packard family and his wives and children I would be forever in your debt. That is my brick wall. There were family there until after 1850. Judson was there from 1800 or so and had his family there, and three wives, Eunice Rowe,-------,Widow Nancy Swain. The ----- is the one I really want, but anything at all. Again Barbara,Thanks much....Peace...LHG
That branch of Packard are my 3rd GGparents.

The death record was already on the page . . . not sure who put it on there.
You are certainly welcome. It makes me happy to be able to do this for others as I have had others photograph some of my family plots as well.

Supposedly around Burlington. I am looking for the CAYEA family, specifically James Emmett Cayea. I would have to look one is buried south of Burlington. Thanks for the offer. After work tomorrow, I will look up the cemetery and may take you up on the offer! No snow. Nothing in western NC either except a bad storm right now dumping 3+" of rain which we need. Thanks again
