|Vee Butterfield||RE: Zachariah Butterfield's Headstone|
Thanks, Bryan, for the reply. I just entered a request for someone to find the headstone or the location of his grave in the Red Schoolhouse cemetery in Farmington, Maine. I suspect there is no headstone and likely no one knows where he is buried. I would suspect he is near his wife's grave.
I have used photos and memorials from Find A Grave over the past year. It is a great site and I plan to be more active here.
|Vee Butterfield||Zachariah Butterfield's Headstone|
Zacharia Butterfield and his wife Hannah Hiscock Butterfield are buried in the Red Schoolhouse Cemetery in Farmington, Maine. There is a photo of her headstone on Find A Grave. There is no photo of Zacharia Butterfield's headstone.
Could someone take another look and see if you can find his headstone? He died in 1866. This is a fairly small, but old cemetery and probably has not been well kept up. May not be a headstone for him.
Is there a map of the burial plots in this cemetery? If so, does it show where he is buried?
Bryan, thanks for your work to put so much good information here! You and I are cousins.
|Carl Earl Davis||Ann Slade Cleveland|
Would you be able to tell me where you found the bio on Anna Cleveland. We have been looking for proof that she was baptized in 1830. It looks like a newspaper article. May I get the source?
A few years ago we put the gravestone on he mother's gravesite in SLC city cemetery. What a great experience.
Thanks for all your great work. We have a reunion in Centerville on Saturday the 14th. Any info you could give before then would really be fantastic.
thank you Carl Davis

You're welcome Bryan.
|Janet N||RE: Zimmerman Family|
Hi Bryan: My grandmother (my mother's mom) was the 15th child of Nannie Zimmerman Roberts and William Moffett Roberts. Her name was Pocahontas S Roberts (Sarah Lucille Ross). I spent some time on Ancestry.com and researched her family at length. It was great discovering new people. My grandma's mom (Nannie) died when she was 12 and her dad when she was 16. She moved to California with her sisters and started a new life far, far from Augusta Co. Somewhere along the line, her name changed. She went by Lucille in San Francisco and then by Sarah (which, as far as I can tell, was her middle name given by her parents) I don't blame her much for going by Sarah, after all, who wants to be Pocahontas?? LOL! I knew my grandma well. She died when I was 20. I wished I would have asked her more questions back then. But I am thankful for websites like Ancestry.com and this one that lets us connect with our heritage. How are you related to Nannie and William?

Thank you for the additional information re: Charles Van "Charlie" Kennedy. I do not know what his marker states or if a marker exists. You may want to contact the local genealogical society. Perhaps they have helpful information.
