Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in genealogy several years ago, while attending a family reunion. Someone made the statement "If someone doesn't write this information down, then it's going to be lost". I realized how true that was, so I began my searches. I think "Family" is very important, and sometimes younger generations don't think much about the present time, then later begin to wonder. Of course, after all the info has been gathered, then family members request copies of the info, which I am happy to share.

Now that I have become aquainted with Find A Grave, I am trying to get as much info and photos added, as possible, to help others locate their loved ones.

If requesting transfers, or asking me to do corrections or additions, please do so, through the edit tab on the memorial you are requesting.

Adamson postings
Thanks so much for the Adamson postings. I had looked several times in Wabash County, with limited luck. A son, Francis is buried at the Ridge Cemetery. Are you related to this family?

Thank you for your quick reply.

There is a small shed on the east end of the cemetery between the cemetery and Peterson Park. The supervisor of the park and cemetery, Brad Benefiel, very graciously showed me several documents including a map of the cemetery, the transcript book of burials (I think he said made by a local historical society), and a book of purchase records. It was late on Saturday and he was preparing to leave so I tried not to take too much of his time and only asked to take a picture of the one page. He was most helpful and friendly even though it was late Saturday and he was putting things in his pickup to leave when I arrived. The contact info I have is: Brad Benefiel supervisor of Peterson Park, Riverside Cemetery Newton, Illinois 62448; Office Phone: 6-8-783-2173; cell: 618-783-9977.

I am glad your picture of the grave marker clearly showed the name. Mine only showed a couple letters.

Brenda Coley
Thank you!

My name is Brenda (Mullis) Coley and my mother was Margaret Ann (Crites) Harrington Mullis Rumple Farris. (Whew!) My grandfather was Harry Albert Crites.

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all the geneaology work you have done for families. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing information and pictures that I would never have known about if you had not taken the time and effort to upload them to this website.

Thank you again and keep up the good work!!

Thomas Gardner
I was happy to find Thomas Gardner's information on find a grave. He would be my G-G-G-G-G Grandfather. I am curious if anyone has information on his parents. I know from census information he was born in Georgia but still cannot locate his parents.

Thank you,

I agree with you 100 percent, you look through the cemetery's and wonder how many of these people have been forgotten, but when we record them in a way they live forever.....

RE: Jane M. Mallinson
Thank you for your help. For right now please leave things as they are. I'm going to try and gather some dates and maybe add them to the information. Thank you so much.

Jane M. Mallinson
My father Paul Mallinson's father and mother were Charles and Eva Mallinson. I believe Jane was the mother of Charles. I don't know the husband's name of Jane. I know little about my fathers family. I do know his father and brothers had a grist mill in West Salem. Are you related to any of the above individuals?
