I love exploring and photographing old cemeteries in Maine. I am especially familiar with Androscoggin, Cumberland, Hancock, and York counties. I am a Greater Portland History docent, photographer for Greater Portland Landmarks, and a member of SpiritsAlive.com, the overseers of Eastern Cemetery in Portland, Maine|

Ben G: "Thanks for the grave marker photos and for taking one of the beautiful cemetery!"
Thanks for the picture! It means a great deal to the Waterhouse family members out here in Iowa.

Thank you very much, Ben, I truly appreciate your help. The pictures came out clear and readable, it is not an easy thing to take pictures of old headstones.

Will do! and thanks for the contact fellow Windhamite. I love just visiting the cemeteries sometimes. They are so interesting! I try to claim before, but sometimes I'm just in a cemetery and don't have my app to check things out. So I snap away happily and load them onto the site when I get home. I am always surprised when one pops up letting me know I fulfilled a request. I apologize if I did that with a photo you specifically went out to take. I do really try to check and not take pictures in a cemetery that someone has claimed any of the photos. I know we can only claim so many, and some cemeteries have more that 20 requests, so I figure if someone has claimed their limit, they still might want to take the rest of what is there. I hope you have great success in finding those hard to find gravestones! All the best to you-Ann
