Wilson Cemetery Cambria Ill
Mr. Palmer, I noticed you indexed Wilson Cemetery.

Bennett Hurst is buried out in that cemetery along with some of his family.

His wife was named Zeruah Hurst or another spelling could have been Zervah not sure where she is buried.

Do you have in your files a picture of Bennett Hurst or his wife's headstone? I am looking for a picture of it. If you do can you send it to me at afh1952@gmail.com.

Thanks for you help. Alice Hurst

Thomas, I see that you took the photo of Jessie's grave marker. Did you happen to come across one for her first husband, Thurman Phemister, in this cemetery? Thank you, Kaye Harkins McClintock #47422726

Williams Graves located in Carterville Community Cemetery
Mr. Palmer, I noticed you have posted a message to Wayne about some William graves that were relocated to Carterville Community Cemetery. I have some missing Williams graves that I am wondering if they were part of the Crab Orchard Lake project. One of my Graves was for a Harriet Hurst Williams. I know Noah & Harriet lived in Williamson County Illinois for a while. They were not married to long before she died. She was married to a George Noah Williams. She died & he moved to Arkansas & remarried.

Noah's mother father was Clara Ingram Williams & Wiley Williams.

The records on the computer indicate that Wiley & Clara Ingram Williams were supposed to be buried in Hutchmaker Cemetery, Somerset(Summerset) TWP in Jackson County. Clara Ingram Williams remarried after Wiley Williams died & she married a man by the last name of Duke or Dukes. I have found it spelled both ways.

I have not been able to locate that cemetery anywhere. I was wondering if you have ever heard of that cemetery or maybe if the name had been changed to another name,

Do you have any info on this Hutchmaker Cemetery??

Any information you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Alice Hurst

are you sure? I think the date on the headstone is 1831 and the date on the page might be wrong.

Ballou Cemetery
The Moses Ballou cemetery in Lincoln has now been built around and had access blocked by the current owner who is a Lincoln police officer-when I went there to return the Desire Ballou foot stone, which had been found in a neighbors yard, I was threatened and bullied by the owner. He is also using it to store chopped firewood. I did notice that there are many other field stones popping up through the ground, indicating that there are many more burials than previously estimated...I also visited with the owner of the Moses Ballou House across the street, who was disturbed by the recent building activities there...Thank you for your pictures as they may be the last ones taken in there..
