Bio Photo I'm a folk art collector and history buff that moved to Maine 5 years ago. A Westerner by birth and familiar with the "cowboy" and Mexican cemeteries, Maine offers a whole new challenge with its many lost and hard to find yards. I'm looking into classes into the preservation of old tombstones and hope, that in the future, I can be involved in restoring and preserving the great art and architecture in New England's old graveyards.

RE: cole/twinings cemeteries
Thank You for the information,
I was aware of their being two cemeteries,
my records just stated that they were buried in the Twining Cemetery. I have deleted all my listings for the Twining, and I am in the process of updating the Cole Cemetery. Thank You so much for your assistance. Have a wonderful day!

RE: Cole / Twining Cemetery
They have a lot listed in Twining that should be in Cole. I wish they would move them but just added (Duplicate record see also Cole Cemetery). This just is not right. Some one will look for the stone in the wrong cemetery.

Cole / Twining Cemetery
familyseeker (#47438132) has added a lot to Twining cem and they are in Cole. They think it should be one cemetery. I can not get them to fix this. I see you took photos in both, maybe they will believe you.

RE: Headstone photos
Thanks, I'll give you credit. Interesting engraving on that headstone.

Headstone photos
Hi, I was wondering if it would be OK to use a couple of your photos on the Maine Old Cemetery Association Facebook page? Find A Grave Memorial# 44111650.

James Curtis
Thank you for taking the photos of James Curtis' gragvestone. As for the other, missing James Curtis stone, at least I can say that the elder James was buried there, and likely the younger one is as well, even without a stone.

Lou, thanks for getting Benjamin and trying to get Orinda. I know how you feel about the stone being gone. That's why I spend a couple of hours every day transcribing them. Good luck on your plan to restore them, we need more people like that. Thanks again
