My wife's maiden name is Slagle from Indiana. John Slagle Sr. lived in Polk Co Missouri. Her Aunt gave us a lot of Slagle History and since then I have expanded the info about double and keep adding new stuff all the time. |
Any Help with the Slagle Family would be appreciated. Photos of family members, cousins, etc.

My 5th Great Grandfather was Christian Miller Jr, we have not yet found a location of this remains.
My 6th Great Grandfather was Christian Miller Sr, was born in Bern, Switzerland, Europe. He came to America on 15 Sep 1749 on the Ship "Phoenix" landing in Philadelphia.
My 7th Great Grandfather was possibly a 'Mueller' or 'Muller' and His Mother's Last Name was 'Rogers'.

Here's his obit if you want to use some/all:
Edward M. Johnson, 83, Sarasota, died Aug. 9, 2003. He was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Spotswood, NJ, and came to Sarasota in 1970 from East Brunswick, NJ. He retired in 1978 as owner and operator of Holliday Apartments on Stickney Point Road. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughters Annabelle Petys of Clearwater, Frances McKemy of North Carolina, Kathy Powell of Sarasota, and Donna Johnson-Torres of Fort Myers; a son, Ed of Sarasota; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm today at Robarts Funeral Home, Sarasota. A service will be at 11am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sarasota Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Bishop Relief, 5394 Midnight Pass Road, Sarasota, FL. Published in Herald Tribune on Aug. 12, 2003.

I'm not sure if you're the right person to contact or not.
I'm trying to track down info on Pitt Carl JR. Of Greencastle PA. You are the caretaker of the memorial for his daughter Emily Davis so I'm thinking you may know how to reach is descendants. I believe there is a granddaughter named Cynthia.
I'm looking for them for permission to feature Mr. Carl's story in a history of World War I.
