RE: Ellen McCrann
No, I don't know her maiden name but her obituary (which I added to her memorial) does state she'd lived in Louisville, Kentucky. It also mentions a niece Mrs. McLaughlin who's son Edwin died a few days before Ellen.

She must be the Ellen McCrann who lived with Hugh and Agnes Mcloughlin in Chicago in 1900 (census).

Hope this helps.

Ellen McCrann
Thank you for the edits. asked me to correct her DOD from October 6, 1908 to October 8. Her obituary (published on October 7) indicates she died October 6. You also asked me to add Ireland as her place of birth. But her obituary states she was born in New York. Her children (Dr. W.J.) and Mary both indicated on census records that their father was born in Ireland but their mother was born in New York.

You can check out this website at:
Nancy Ristau was able to send me this photo from her files with this comment: " This stone is virtually unreadable, but here it is. Hope this will be OK."
If you think the stone was replaced, I can try to walk the cemetery to look for a new stone.

RE: Picture of Margaret O'Donnell's grave
Here is the link for the Archdiocese. It provides information for those buried in five Catholic cemeteries in Omaha.

RE: Picture of Margaret O'Donnell's grave
You are very welcome! Thought I'd pass along this info too...

While looking for Margaret, I came across Louis O'Donnell #148282013 b. 1909 and his wife, Alice #148282014. Thought he might be Margaret's brother, so I took the photos for them as well. This couple and your Margaret are two rows apart. Perhaps you can make the connection?

And if you do know of Louis & Alice, can you clear up the name confusion? The stones read differently than their names on the Archdiocese website...they are switched around. I know some go by middle names but thought it odd that both husband and wife are doing it. You can suggest any corrections to their names if necessary.
