Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native of Sheboygan WI and presently live in Dane Co, WI. I have been involved in genealogy since about 1997, primarily in the Sheboygan County area. Surnames of particular interest to me are Head, McTaggart, Gartman, Wolf, Kleckner, Fenner, Schwenner and Sternig.
I grew up across the street from a cemetery and find cemeteries fascinating. They are peaceful and historical and wonderful displays of stone art.
Additions, corrections and transfer requests are welcome.

RE: First Norwegian cemetery
Jerry, this is so funny, my sister lived on Cty Road S at the intersection of the Town Road. Her property backed up to the farmers land where she rode her horse all the time. She saw that momument all the time and never said anything to me because she is not into genealogy. Thanks for the info.

RE: More Gartmans
Hi Jerry,

No problem, just getting to my computer today - kind of late!

Yes, the Gartman photos were all taken at St. Mary's, in a two minutes period that nice March day.

Hi Jerry,

I added the original picture to your memorial. I did not delete the one from the other memorial: I don't want to do something that might offend the owner; it'll just go away if she deletes the memorial. Nice job on the bio info on the Gartmann memorials. I honestly can't recall if someone requested those photos, or I was just there doing other things and ran across them. I think the former, maybe. Some of my wife's relatives are buried in that cemetery & we visit it every year or so.

First Norwegian Lutheran
Jerry, thanks for the tip on the map. This is so funny as my sister lived at the corner of County s and Town Hall Road. She rode her horse in the pasture around the monument several times but she never mentioned it to me as she is not into genealogy. So close yet so far. Story of my live I think. I am looking for the Bang/Bangs families and they lived in Springdale area and they adopted Ole Thompson. So this all makes sense to me now. So glad you took the picture.

Salome Hubbard
How did you hear of Salome Hubbard? She's a sister of one of my ancestors. I've never been able to locate a gravesite for her at the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Her grave may be unmarked.

Jerry you took a photo of a stone located in the First Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery located in Mount Horeb. I grew up there and never have heard of this cemetery. Can you tell me where it is located and if there are any individual stones there or just the one large stone listed everyone buried there. There are 2 of my relatives there and possibly another. Appreciate any information you can give me on this cemetery. Thanks
