|Bob & Bonnie McEver||Files Valley Cemetery|
This relates to the status of the cemetery in Files Valley, TX. In the 1970s, a board was established to oversee maintenance of the cemetery. All of the board members are now deceased. In order to insure some level of maintenance going forward, a new board should be established. A meeting seems necessary to reestablish the board and the first group to make contact with, before going to the general population of the community, in my opinion, should be those FindAGrave Contributors who have shown an interest and demonstrated some effort to preserve the memory of those interred there. If you have experience in managing small cemeteries and/or the interest to participate in this process, please contact me via email at email@example.com.
Regards and thanks for all your work for FindAGrave.

I'd check the Walthall County Cemetery book for directions. I can't find my copy, but I'm sure it's in there.
|No Reins||J oseph McMaken family|
Thanks for the heads up on the McMaken family. But mine was not the duplicate. You might try contacting the other contributor since they entered theirs at a later date. I no longer contact people that make duplicates because they have a tendency to get nasty. Duplicates happen, people know the same person by two different names, it happens. But I just leave them alone. Thanks again.

|Amy Hogan||Cemetery listing|
I'm sorry but I do not know what you mean by maintaining a cemetery listing.
|Jack Hollis||Duplicate posts|
You told me that my post #21556560 is a duplicate of post #110151984. Since I made my post 6 years prior to the duplicate post, i will take no action on this one. Please give the peerson who posted last a try.
|Freda||Helen Rae Hamilton|
I only found the one I posted. If there is another you will have to send me the information on both.

There were no other graves nearby; the marked graves are spread out. The cemetery is extremely old. My husband has three family members buried there, and we could find markers for none of them. I plan on contacting the cemetery board to see if there are any written records. If I find anything, I will be sure to let you know.
Memorial# 8337186 - Youngblood in Damascus Cemetery, Corrigan, Polk County, Texas ... about this entry: I maintain a number of entries in this county and this cemetery, however they were originally created by Herald. ... therefore I cannot tell you IF this entry is correct or not since I did not create it. Sorry.
Additional info is always welcomed. If you have documented info to prove identity of any name herein, please feel free to send it to me and I'll gladly add it for you.

That was my father who belonged to your chapter.
I do not currently live in Texas.
|Larry Mabra||Frances Shackelford|
I've corrected the spelling. Thanks for the update.
