Please submit any additions, corrections, biographies, family links or requests for transfer to me under "EDIT" and "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" on the memorial site. Due to email messages going to SPAM or JUNK mail, if you don't use the "EDIT" tab, your request will probably not get processed.|
My interest for genealogy started 30 yrs ago and hasn't waned. The main area of interest is NE Kansas, but has spread elsewhere due to the expansion of family to all parts of the country.
Transfers for memorials outside of FAG's guidelines will be considered, unless they are within my family. Please include your relationship with your request! If relationship is not included, the transfer will not be made. Please use the "EDIT" to make your requests.
Thanks to all the volunteers for finding gravesites and photographing them for me. I am happy to try and do the same. Please feel free to use any of the gravesite photos for your family history.

Just wanted to leave a note of thanks for you taking the time to compile and publish these photos and records. My wife and I spent the day helping my Father-in-Law visit cemetaries in a general area we knew was right, looking for the grave of his great-grandfather. But we came away disappointed, unable to find the cemetary.
Spent some time searching the internet, came up with this site and found not only the cemetary, location, and interment record, but an actual photo of the stone!
Thank you so much, K - B !!!! You made our day, and he is so excited planning a return visit now that he knows where the site is.

They are in good hands, I knew you could handle it! Luella

I am given a listing for Memorial Cemetery each year and there is not a listing for Joseph Stanley. The Hutchinson Library has a book with all of Reno County cemetery listings, I will check to see which cemetery he is in.

Hi, I'll transfer to your care, then you can delete the one you want. I'll try to get down there this week and check it out, she may be buried by her first husband. Luella

Hi K-B, First off sorry for hitting the wrong key on my first message. Now, I was at Mount Vernon Cem Atchison Ks yesterday looking for the stone of Homer Hardy Locker and did not find it. I see you have posted a pic on here. Can you tell me where the stone is located and also if you have found an obit for him. If you don't have the location could you send me a copy of the original and would I be able to post it on his profile page (with credit to you) at my ancestry.com tree? Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Linda Mauzey Murray

I couldn't find Valerian Stallbaumer...sorry. I looked in both cemeteries: St Josephs in Lillis and Calvary in Frankfort. There is a Stallbaumer in Calvary but not the same one.
Hi, to read Albert's marker, make sure you open the photos to full size - I have not edited their size.
Oakland told me Albert's grave is unmarked and they gave a location based on another person's marker. I was really surprised to find that marking his grave is a very small marker that looks like it is made out of copper or some sort of metal. As you can see, it has screws so I have no idea to what it is attached. Part of his info appears to be stamped and part appears to be handwritten. It is etched so lightly that I had to enhance the photo so that you could read the imprint. I have never seen anything like this...it's very interesting.
I used the same pink pinwheel to make his grave in the photo.
Hi, Mary is buried in an unmarked grave in Oakland Cemetery. I marked her grave with a pink pinwheel and took some photos of the area.
I sent a link for Virgina Weixelman to husband Paul Leo and ended up sending a Nauman then the correct link. Please watch for it on the updates.
