I'm an avid photographer/archivest, having taken the majority of both my and my husband's family's graves. We take (outdoor) cemetery photos from March/April to November or December/snowfall within an hour or so in all directions of N'east Wisconsin, incl: Outagamie; Winnebago (our county); Calumet; Manitowoc; Sheboygan to the East; and in the West: Waushara, and some of Portage, if we're in that area. Mausoleum photos, of course, can be taken all year.|
NOTE to those requesting grave photos in Wisconsin: We won't see any ground-level graves until at least April, given the weather this Winter. Continuous snowfalls; dreadful, bone-numbing windchills; etc. Thanks for understanding!
Here's a poem that touches my heart. It is the reason we are in this service; for both the living and those who have gone on before us.
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked On a lonely, windswept hill; Today we talked where other cried For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched By graves of tiny babies; Snatched from the arms of loving kin, In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay In the last sleep of their time; Lying under the trees and clouds - Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot; Who lies beneath this hollowed ground? Was it a babe, child, young or old? No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay. We had been here once before On a day we'd all like to forget, But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin The graves of ancestors past; To be preserved for generations hence, A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend, For stones sometimes crumble to dust And generations of folks yet to come Will be grateful for your trust.
When corresponding, please indicate the name of the person/people whose grave photo I took. Thanks! :)

Thank you. Can you add the wedding date of 1963. It was unclear in the newspaper microfilm, but is listed on the tombstone picture.

I noticed that you have visited and taken photos for cemeteries in Oshkosh. I am trying to find the name of the cemetery where there is a Ruggles Mausoleum. Although they are no relation, Charles Ruggles was a lumber baron etc. in Manistee, Michigan who was born in Maine and then the family lived in Oshkosh before coming to Manistee. According to a death record/obit in Manistee, he was buried in the family mausoleum in Oshkosh. Also his parents are buried there but they died in Manistee. A younger sister who died young is buried there and I believe a sister-in-law. I know obits for Charles, his father and mother (Daniel D and Emeline D Ruggles) are listed in the index at the Oshkosh library.
I just though perhaps by chance you had seen that mausoleum in your cemetery visits! I have them listed on F.A.G. with cemetery unknown. If you have seen this mausoleum, I would appreciate knowing.
