Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm 76 years old and I've been doing genealogy for many years. I still consider myself an amateur because there really is a lot to learn. Find a Grave has been very helpful to me and that is why I joined because I hope that the things I post will help others. Most of the people I've come across on Find a Grave are very nice and very helpful.

RE: Randy Conner
I don't know if I ever replied to you on this. I apologize if I'm duplicating this reply.

You're very welcome. Uncle Randy was indeed one very cool guy in my book. I was very fond of him and remember his antics when I was still a young boy in Oklahoma. It was always very exciting when I came home from school and saw a car in the driveway with California plates, I knew exactly who it was.

Thank you Gwyneth. I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. I keep going down so many bunny trails and then lose my way getting back. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

RE: Christine and Charles Stewart
And TY for getting the info on these people. The cemetery (according to those who walked & took photos) was in bad repair. A new organization has been formed for Oak Hill & discovered an astounding number of stones uprooted, damaged, tossed away, completely broken, dumped, etc. And records on these weren't really kept. So it is entirely probable the Stewarts did have stones & somewhat possible they had become sunken or will be found in the moved items. Hopefully those who live in that area will be able to do further maintenance. Our group (who just entered burial cards which didn't have matching pictures) were instructed to put a notation 'no stone' to prevent thousands of photo requests which could cause people to walk the area which had already been checked and photos taken of all standing. We can still cross fingers some of the stones may be found/restored! And if so they will be placed on Find A Grave by the new group.

The info you provided matches up nicely and I feel pretty certain you have identified these people. I entered around 2000 burials in S's at Oak Hill from rather sketchy burial cards. Pulled what I was given and the only info on these is what I included in memorial. Would it be OK for me to transfer to you so you can make links, add info and flesh out the memorials properly? I will be glad to do so if that is OK with you. SO hoping to find out more about the burials in Oak Hill - a friend recruited me to help on project and the cemetery, stones, records, everything was in terrible disorder and disrepair. Nice to think we have found something to properly honor these people! Thanks & just let me know.

RE: John and Judith Blanchard
You're welcome. It's good to get it all documented in all the places! I ended up doing about 6 or 7 hours research on the various Blanchard's yesterday. That was good too!! Take care!! Fay C.

I just transferred the memorial to you so you can update it as you wish. I am not related.

John & Judith Blanchard
I have also put an explanation on both John & Judith's F.a.G. memorials of how they were in 3 cemeteries. I have also put the same explanation in the notes of my data base, for John & Judith,of our family history. I currently use Roots Magic to keep up with the data. Thank You for the contact. You helped me finish the job with the explanations on the memorials.
Thanks: Fay C.

John & Judith Blanchard
John & Judith Merrill Blanchard were buried originally in the Great Island Presbyterian Cemetery, which no longer exists. John & Judith ended up in the Highland Cemetery in Lock Haven, PA. However, they and their marker were later moved to their son, Charles's lot at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. Laurel Hill Cemetery confirmed their presence there in 2012. The information of John & Judith Blanchard's above moves were provided by 'Carol' of and sent to Fay Chandler, also on the website, on January 4, 2014

RE: John and Judith Merrill Blanchard
Hello again Sue! We keep running across each other, always in regard to Family History and family names! Thank You for your message in regard to John & Judith M. Blanchard's burial place. Sorry it took me a while to 'double check' my memory against the records. Off the top of my head, I was thinking that they have been in 3 cemeteries. So, I went thru my F.a.G. messages and found the confirming message that indeed they have been in 3 cemeteries. They finally ended up in the Laurel Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia. I will send you a copy of that confirming message. Their son, Charles had them moved there - to his lot. I will send a copy of the message mentioned in a separate message, so this won't be so long.
Thanks: Fay C.

RE: Randy Conner
Thank you Gwyneth - Randy and Betty were both awesome. I always enjoyed having them around when they visited Oklahoma.

I think his personality and mine are a lot alike and I always felt most comfortable around him.
